  1. +1 for the CMC Triggers. I tried one after I thought my Geissele S3G failed during a major. I will be replacing them with CMC's. The reset is a little bit more positive. Just my two cents.
  2. I tried one and now have 3. It is great shooting from 3gun supported positions. No matter which way you brace it you have a flat edge to go against. Offhand shooting it settles nice in your support hand.
  3. Look into a Stag, colt competition. Or get a Seekins 3Gun upper and build a lower the way you want.
  4. OK. Have you checked the buffer and spring to make sure that it is moving freely and the roll pin hasn't moved to catch the spring and essentially causing it to short stroke. And make sure the buffer and spring are lubed.
  5. Use the washers to time it. I set my rifle so it will run unsuppressed and it doesn't have a problem with this gas suppressed. I would try this it might work or you might need to adjust your gas block depending on the load you are running.
  6. Give surefire a call. They were very helpful when they first came out and a lot of them had problems. After a brief time on the phone I got both mine to run smooth. It might just need the follower replace do to the back being undersized.
  7. I have an 18" barrel from both Nordic and Black Hole. They shoot equally good and would by buy which ever one was in stock.
  8. I had better luck with TAC and the light bullet.
  9. I switched from the SJC Titian to the Seekins ATC. I won't look back.
  10. It will feel wired at first to shoot rifle and shotgun lefty. Just keep practicing and dry firing you will get it. You just have to make the commitment to do it and it will come around.
  11. Looks to me like you where trying to knock your pistol out while loading your rifle like you did on stage 4. So that little devil karma came and got you on the next stage.
  12. Benny made sure I was taken care of when I had a shotgun go down a month before ironman one year and couldn't get the parts in time to fix it. The nice lady on the phone heard my dilemma and said she would call me back. I figured yeh right not waiting on that phone call. 10min latter she called and said she found a 24" M2 and was heading to pick it up right then if I said I wanted it. Sold on Benny and his staff.
  13. +1 Keep it Simple. No advantage to a limited rig in 3gun I have seen.
  14. I like the 1-6 better if a few hundred bucks still puts it in budget.
  15. No experience with the nightforce 1-4. But I own the razor. If it is between the 2 I would go with the razor even though the reticles are close. The illumination is barely daytime bright on mine. The razor is pretty good as far as the BDC out of my 14.5" and 18" rifles at least out to 400 with 55gr. and 77gr. ammo.
  16. Run the Hiviz and then Paint a small arrow on the back of the vent rib so you can make sure you aren't canting the barrel. I'll try and get a pic of mine up latter today.
  17. If I remember right the trimmer is a different tread pattern than a standard die. Op's original idea should work as long as he makes sure its really tight so it doesn't come loose.
  18. Ok. My bad. Mods please delete or move to shotgun forum.
  19. OK as the title says but there is one snag. I don't want to run a barrel clamp due to slug impact change. Been thinking of installing a QD mount from Noveske in the front of or back of the fore grip. Anybody done this or other ideas?
  20. Try to find some Federal Low Recoil 1oz. or 7/8oz low recoil fiochi's
  21. When I used H335 I used the same charge for MG's and Hornandy FMJ's. Velocity was about 2950FPS go out to 400. I have no experience with CFE I use TAC now.
