Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Barry. Ive been using the same 1301 factory IC for almost a year an a half. I shoot Atlanta 3gun, the Remington Versa Max shotgun challenge and my local CSRA 3 gun matches in Augusta Georgia. They are mostly all bay style high speed but Atlanta has one longer jungle run. The only time I ever thought I needed more choke was on a defective star.
  2. last week I shot two 3 gun matches with my new 1301. after about 400 rounds so far I have not had a single issue. Last Sunday I shot the Noveske Atlanta 3gun match in the poring down rain and got mud all over it to. I was very, very, very, happy with the 1301 and I know that I finished 6th overall because of it running so smooth and fast. Now I have to work on me being smooth and faster.
  3. Here is my old 1100 I built like a Tac4 style. The stock is the Remington Shur-Shot stock. First came out on turkey guns but now you can get them in black. I put a nice thick soft Limb saver recoil pad on it. Shoots really nice and kicks a lot less then my new 1301 Beretta. Just to slow and not 100% reliable.
  4. I'm thinking about adding a rear sight to my new shotgun for slugs. I have seen a pistol style (Express) sight milled into the rib. Are there any other sights people use or just the Express and which one is it? Is it the glock dovetail or is there a smaller one I need to use? Is there a better rear sight for 3gun? I saw Patrick Kelly's picture on the old thread where he modified it with a small slot because he didn't like the v style.
  5. Started mine today and still need to find a shelf or something to hold up a range bag, tool box or ammo can..... headed to wally world now to find something. So far I have about $80 in it.
  6. been trying to find some myself for months now to no avail. Just asked some local reloaders if somebody could make me up some.
  7. well after shooting my 3rd 3-gun match but 1st match with the "Load2" method I realized that any window would only have been seen at pre-staging. Im loading with the butt stock on my shoulder so I couldn't see the location marks I made with a pencil before the match. I really don't think a window will work like I think I want it to. At times I felt like I was really loading fast but I did have a couple of hang ups and I did try to load an extra set one time. However, I was better then before and with some more practice I think I can really speed up.
  8. Well this was my 3rd 3gun match and I think I have gotten a lot better since the first one. Thanks to Dewey and Mark for giving me pointers along the way. I really appreciate it and also would like to thank BullitMcQueen for video taping for me, nice meeting you. I'm hooked on this 3gun stuff so now I have to figure out how to pay for playing the game!
  9. first off Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Ok, I was wondering if anybody added a window to their extended mag tubes for indicating when it was full? Awhile back when I was searching the net for custom Rem 1100 shotguns for 3gun......(hey I know theres a lot better guns, but its what I got, so I have to use it for now) I came across an 1100 on gunbroker or something that had a window cut into the mage tube extention. Since I have just started 3gun (3rd match this Saturday coming) and I have also just started the "Load2" method with a Mark Otto rig, the but stock will be on my shoulder and gun almost upside down. Im thinking the window could come in handy. Or do I think to much?
  10. Scott, the scores are all on CSRApistol.com here http://www.csrapistol.com/match_results.htm Pinetucky has nobody to run their website and yes, its old. We shoot USPSA and IDPA every month and 3 gun four times a year plus ICORE and other matches. We also shoot some of the IDPA at Shooters Indoor range in Augusta.
  11. I'll make sure I tell Mike Nyland, I think they had a meeting last weekend after the USPSA match for scheduling matches for next 2014. And don't forget that starting in January, a new club, Atlanta 3gun will be holding a monthly 3gun Nation club match at South River on the third Sunday of every month I believe. I'm new to 3gun and this will be my third match, all at Pinetucky. I'm hoping to step up and start traveling to other clubs when I can. I have a varsity high school junior softball player that plays travel ball also.... so I have no time hardly.
  12. My apologies to yall, I really wasn't thinking when I commented on the old post. I was going to delete it but don't see a delete button no where..... But.... Theres another 3gun at Pinetucky this weekend...... Im just saying cause I was just practicing my load 2's
  13. http://www.uspsa.org/classifiers/Part8_13-01_13-09.pdf Heres the new ones, 13-01 through-09. But why have two Disaster Factors?
  14. I shot this at our club match any idea what % a HF of 6.7616 is??? Im trying to get classified in L10. This my thirdmatch in L10. first two were, 35.4891% and 68.5695%. I had a screw up on the first one but I hoping for "B" when I shoot a few more to get classed.
  15. I found that stage builder at gunracer.com not really 3gun friendly but it will work I guess.
