  1. Welcome to the forum. Lots of great people here with lots of know how. Pick their brains, just beware the noses!
  2. Welcome! Well, you can to the right place for knowledge. Good luck and we're glad to have you.
  3. The stock trigger is heavy. The Heggis flip is flipping over the sear spring. It makes the trigger a lot lighter. Go to rimfirecentral.com and do a bit of searching. There is a ton of info there. That's right singlestack, there is alot of info. not only on buckmarks but all rimfires. Also, for buckmarks there is a guy named rusty22 that makes some cool parts for the buckmark.
  4. Damnyankee! All Ya'll do know the difference between Yankees and Damyankees, right? Yankees go home! Damn Skippy!
  5. I think once that owl grows up that cat better watch out. It'll be lunch time!
  6. I second that motion snowtop!!! Without the brave men and women who have sacrificed their time, life, families, sweat and some the ultimate, their life, we would not have this great sport that brings us all together in this forum and alot of other freedoms we enjoy! To all here including myself THANK YOU FOR SERVING!!!! HAPPY VETERNS DAY!!! I also would like to recognize my daughter who's 11th bday is today 11-11-11!!! How cool is that.
  7. That espn video was cool. I wish I had seen it back when it aired in 1994-95 time frame. I would have been hooked back then.
  8. When their mental game is better than mine it is!!!
  9. Not if you want to shoot at that range anymore. LOL!!! I'd say yes! "You *&%%$%$#$^% Jack Wagon!!!"
  10. That gun is perfect...care to share the build sheet? Buckmark URX Tac Sol 5.5" barrel w/ comp Slide racker custom built and milled/tapped the slide C More RTS red dot Heggis Flip Trigger from Rusty22 from Rimfire Central (He builds lots of awesome parts for a buckmark) I agree that it is the perfect 22 pistol. This gun is awesome to shoot. It is very light and shoots very flat and fast. I play with Federal bulk from Wal-Mart and it shoots them great. For matches I shoot Federal Match from Wal-Mart. As long as I keep the gun fairly clean, it does great. I strip it down and clean it completely after about 1500~2000 rounds. Before each match I clean out as much gunk as possible and relube it.
  11. That's where it all happens. be Your right Brian, seems that I get beat by my mind alot more than I get beat by other people's mind!!!LOL! If my mental shooting game would catch up to my physical skills I'd be on my way up the ladder! Just gotta figure out how to do that.
  12. Well I shot a miserable match Sunday morning! This all after having to DQ my ten year old daughter after she broke the 180 while trying to reload off of a barrel. She was shooting her buckmark and had to turn to grab another mag off of the barrel behind her(180 trap) and she broke the 180. It sucked to have to dq her but rulz is rulz. She took it well and learned a valuable lesson not soon to be forgotten!!!! But..Dad kept this with me the rest of the match. I felt I should have coached her so she didn't do what she did since I knew it was a trap, but I just didn't catch her in time. Since this was our first stage and she only shot 7 rounds before she was DQed, I had to deal with that the rest of the match. It bothered me more than her. I had a total of 6 misses for the match plus 6 procedurals on a classifier in a 5 stage match. WOW, this really got in my head and followed me the rest of the day. It's crazy that stuff like this can affect your mind and shooting so much!!!!!
  13. Wow!!! How true this is, I just returned from a state match a few weeks ago that was one of the funnest matches I can remember shooting. I was squaded with several of my long time shooting buddies and we had a blast watching each other shoot and the experiences on and off the range. A few of us did really well and a few of us didn't but it all seemed a mute point with all the fun we had. That journey was one that money can't buy! Have fun and do your best, you'll shoot better not worrying about how well you "have" to do!
  14. Thanks to all the staff/ROs/sponsors/vendors that put on another GREAT Gator Classic! Probably the funnest Gator to date for me!!!! See ya' again next year!!!!!
  15. Chris, your welcome and thank you also. Congrats on the win and tell Hayden congrats also.
  16. Awesome video Brandon! I believe you had the best time for sure on stage 5, 9.72!!! SMOKIN! Congrats!
  17. Another great MS Classic!!! Thanks to all the other folks that helped make this match what it is! I worked for 5 straight LOOONG days but it was well worth it when several shooters came up to me and personally thanked me. That makes all the sweat worth while. A huge thanks to John, for all the great coordination and everything else he does. Thanks also need to go out to the guys who headed up the prizes!!! We had a great prize table. I think all shooters that stayed around for awards walked away with nothing to complain about!!!! And congrats to the 3 shooters who walked away with new GUNS!!! Thanks to all our sponsers and vendors who helped out in one way or another. The crawfish was definately a great addition that I think went over well with all that stayed around Saturday night. And for the one's who didn't, SORRY you missed it!!!! Looks like we have another tradition, I hope! Well, I've said enough. If I forgot to thank anyone, Thanks! Jimmy Callender Stage 5 RO
  18. A big thanks to all the CASA and AR section members who made this match possible. One of the smoothest matches I've been too. Never shot a 12 stage match in one day before. I loved it!!!! Once again gang, thumbs up and thanks for a great time!!! Jimmy
  19. That's funny, I don't care who you are.
  20. +1 on a great match! Thanks to all persons responsible for organizing this match, it is a very big undertaking. Thanks also to the MD, RM, RO's, stats, and sponsers. Thanks also to the Clarks and Miculeks who let us access their wonderful range. I enjoyed it very much and wish for more matches there b/c it's only 2.5 hrs from home. Again thanks to all!!!!
