Any of you guy's know a fella by the name of Jeff McDonald I think he just turned 70? He is a friend of mine here in Georgia that I shoot IDPA with sometimes he is still in decent shape and wide open when he is shooting and very competitive. He has not shot IPSC in twenty years probably but he enjoys telling me stories from when he CROed at the first five nationals and how much he enjoyed shooting IPSC back then. When I go to his house he always enjoys showing some pictures or plaques he won in the 80's. The one he was most proud of was 1990 nationals match results where he shot 74% of Jerry Barnhart who was the match winner. I think I have him talked into comeing out to a club match at Cherokee Gun Club soon. {OLD GUY'S RULE}
Tell him to take his time and find what works for him Glock,M&P,XD,CZ there are plenty to choose from. Nothing worse than buying a firearm and not being happy with it.
Take your friend to a match and let him see for his self. He will most likely see Glock's being used in Production and a few of the other brands. No offense to the other brands just reality.
So there is a chance for someone else to finally win the Production Division at the EAGC match!
Aint that the truth LOL
I am a Team Hack Fu junior shooter in training! I hope you get to make it to the mach Todd and if not congrats!
EAGC rules, Good Lord willing and the creeks dont rise me and the wife will be there! I wish we could make it to more monthly matches because of all the great stages and good people associated with EAGC.
I agree you will be putting off the inevitable if you go 110! I got lucky a few yaers back and the wife let me use our tax refund on a new Miller 252 wire feed for my home shop. Miller or Lincoln their both good machines. {once you have gone 220 you will never go back} LOL
Me and the wife are going to visit her relatives in Ark. this weekend so she found a club match in Jonesboro we could attend. Does anyone here on Enos attend their monthly match and if so let me know. The match is Sat. July 11 2009
I realy enjoyed the class and learned alot about the rules and being an RO.Thanks Bobby,Susan,Troy and a big thanks to Mark for the class room W.C Bradley loaned us and Alan for the use of his range! If I missed anybody thanks to you also! lol
Started year and a half ago 43. Run around with my brakes on in IDPA for years and years! LOL IDPA is good place to start I just wish I would have started shooting IPSC long ago.
At the local shop here are a few questions askeed by some fine citizenry. LOL
"Hey man can I see one of those 45's with the clutch on it."
"Hey man I want one of those 9 m - m with the mute on it." {suppresed}
" I want one of those AK's that goes clack-clack- clack- clack-clack." {selecct fire}
" I want one of those 38 snug nose with a beam on it." {crimson trace}
These are just a few I can remember of the top of my head. I hope you enjoyed!
He appears to be a man's man and I am glad to see it I wish there were more like him! If I was going to leave the great state of Georgia I would head to Texas pronto! {GOD Bless Texas}
