  2. Not really. ..but I appreciate the response...increased velocity or no...Noveske barrel is an option to the OP....looking for input... thanks...
  3. Can anyone chime in on possible additional velocity from the Noveske 16-18 inch barrels due to the polygonal rifling? I am also looking to do a new barrel soon.

  5. it does have a. That is adjustable for brightness brightness again I was very impressed with what I saw
  6. TJ said it would be comparable to the vortex 1-6.
  7. I looked at one mounted on todd Jarretts AR at the Tarheel 3 gun challenge in April. the reticle looks very nice the stadia lines are very fine -if they come out with a 1-8 I will probably pull the trigger.it appears well made.
  8. No fitting if you are using th PT grip.....
  9. slide glide works great just don't use too much
  10. speed shooters International has had the Mitchell right side mag release in the past
  11. Long gun lefty shooter. Things to consider: The DPMS LO Pro is well built and sturdy, but has no deflector( a possible safety issue for a LH operator) and will not fit a standard mil-spec upper receiver block to lock in the other upper parts. Spikes tactical has a slickside upper WITH a deflector, mil- spec that I went to . . . working fine. Fits the Mil- spec upper receiver blocks for assembly and there is no interferance with the FW assist for a good ambi charging handle for a LH operator, and is reasonably priced. The Spikes also has the M4 cutouts for the M4 bbl ramps which the DPMS may or may not have. I like having the deflector, although with an adjustable gas block the ejection can be tuned more . . If you are running stock the Spikes is a good unit to consider.
  12. The new Syrac clamp on fits very tight and is a nice peice of kit.
  13. I have installed a new SV SS beaver tail and the quality of the machining, as well as the ease of blending and fit to the .250 tang is outstanding! Very high grip. Plus, it is not made out of junk . . Head and shoulders aver the rest of the offerings out there. Worth every penny. My new go to beavertail.
  14. My old eyes really took to going from a 21 to a 24VR on my older M1s90. Running a "Gobble Dot" turkey sight system on the rib. My SG shooting has greatly improved . . . A Briley tube that holds 10 comes just past the bore about a shotgun shell length . . Got rid of the PG . .
  15. UPDATE TO OLD THREAD . . . So, I decided to go with a different HG for the SBR. My Clark HG was Gorilla glued, with proper prep to the Alum BBl nut. Went to the local Body shop. Shop owner and I wanded the induction heater over the BBl nut area of the HG for a good bit, apparently the Gorilla glue is NOT heat sensitive, so it needed some time to warm up . . then he grasped the HG and I the receiver and twisted the bugger off . . . No damage to bbl nut or HG . . FYI if you need to remove.
  16. Yep, and Yep! And Yep!! Thanks again to all who made this fine event the fine event it was!
  17. This was for my M1 Tactical: I found the recoil spring tube red locktited to the receiver and the end cap also locktited. When I first turned the endcap, the r/c spring tube came loose at the receiver due to oil in the threads or the like, so I removed the r/c spring tube from the receiver and put it in an aluminum AR barrel vice jaw clamp and stuck it in the vice. With the recoil spring tube solidly clamped undamaged in the vice, I heated up the endcap and used used a small adjustable wrench to spin off the endcap- It worked great. Mine was the one with a tiny nut on the endcap . . Then I polished up the interior of the r/c tube, lubed up the spring and tube, cleaned all threads, stuffed the spring into the r/c tube and red locktited the tube back into the receiver- being careful not to get locktite at the plunger area, tightened it all up and was good to go. Brownells has an exploded diagram of the small parts for the r/c tube and the proper springs. This might be similar for the M2 . . . Hope this helps.
  18. Same issue here as a LH operator. The issue I have with the DPMS Lo- Pro is there are no m4 feed ramps, no deflector and the unit will not work with a Troy handguard due to the thickness of the DPMS unit and the Troy design. - Something to think about. I have the DPMS unit on another rifle and it is well made and thick. I was looking also for a deflector and M4 feedramp equipped mil-spec upper with no forward assist.(That will also work with a Troy HG.) Even with a well designed ambi charging handle the FA gets in the way for a LH operator.
  19. Thanks to Charles Sole, Steve Wall and all the RO's, SPONSORS, and ALL who helped make this event the great time it was. The match hotel staff was great, and really seemed to enjoy the crew that showed up there with all the TONS of gear goingin and out all the time. This was my first "big" 3G event . . . and I will certainly be back. Lots of good camraderie, as well as nice people to meet and see . . . Stages were well thought out and gave lots of options for firing solutions . . . especially #3! If you have not shot a TH3G monthly, . . BM or VM, you need to try this out! It has been said, " the monthly match is like shooting a major match each month." Cheers to all who helped make this event happen! Thanks again to the "hands on" SPONSORS, who attended and shot the match. Very nice meeting you all.
  20. My PT LW SS frame is super! The frame is well finished and well worth the $. A VERY good value! Pair it with a PT grip of your choice for a winning combo. Check out Lone Star Innovations in the vendor tent for additional information on PT frames and grips.
  21. Check the slide stop to see if it is rubbing the bottom of the slide. You may need a detent in there . . . Or you may need to take off a little from the slide stop to allow a little more clearance. Also, check the safety on both sides to see if it has enough clearance.. I presume one or both of your thumbs are not contacting the slide during firing?
