A club in western Oregon lost their USPSA affiliation for the same thing.

We get our scores posted, usually by 6 pm that night. Unless hunting (like this year) or at the Nats ( few yrs ago), then they have been a day late. My wife does a great job of getting them out.

I watched 2 people shoot a classifier multiple times, once because his mag fell apart while reloading, it's legal, but I think it's BS. As match director, we done roll that way. I honestly can't imagine why anyone would want to keep shooting until they got the "one" they want.

Early spring, lite oil, then Tretra grease, Oct oil, Nov-Feb in safe, time for reloading. Gun runs good in cold, I don't!!!!!!

I have a 7000, that I have used for about 5 years, it was replaced once by ..CED (no charge) , but other than that, it has worked great, the only drawback is, what Sarge said, it would be better (I think), if you could replace the batteries as needed.

Shooting a area match is so much fun, if you win a plaque, great, but the new people you meet, PRICELESS...some, you may only see once a year, at a sectional, area or nationals. I know shooters that won't go to a area match, and say their not good enough, & I explain that a C limited ONLY shoot against C limited, but you may shoot WITH a GM limited. Shoot, have fun, learn. If you have a chance to go to national's, GO!!!!!!!! You will have the time of your life.

2 RO' s, one with timer, one with clip board, the one with clip board also has to watch, but may not be in position to see a 180 break. If they didn't see it, then no DQ. Kinda like a fan in the stands calling strikes or balls, only the umpire can make the call...

I prefer CCI but WSP works just fine in my 650. With no noticeable difference in performance.

Just to make one point, the berms were measured with a long pole and a tape measure, not a very accurate measurement, you should have used a transit....there is nothing on the other side of bay 1, except sagebrush, for miles......NUFF SAID

Dave, look at the Albany gun club or Sherwood gun club, notice the relationship of the fwy & hwy for both ranges. look at the distance between the 200 yd line @ prsc & the keating/hwy 86 junction = 1 mile. Any rifle could shoot that far !. look at the range in vale, they shoot 600 & pistol at the same Time & the pistol range is down range & off to the right. the nra checked it out & thought said it was a great range. The only thing that leaves our pistol bays, is sometimes the jacket, off of a bullet. the construction & composition of the bays are every bit as good as the desert sportsmens club in Las Vegas, where the nationals have been for quite a few yrs. the rifle range poses more risk, but you seem to only want to look at the pistol bays, why is that? you have shot, what, 5-6 uspsa matches?, you really need to get out and shoot more, get some experience , and someday, if you shoot enough steel, you will get hit with a jacket, but im sure that Will be another safety issue... Awsome guns, mine is a side mount, it runs like a raped ape!!

I shoot a Cameron's STI open blaster, my 170mm mag holds 28. with dawson base pad, bolens follower, it has never failed me.

+1 4756, i use 8.5 to 8.8 (depending on the lot, which is the only drawback) sweet spot is about 174PF in my STI Camerons blaster.

Remington 870 or 1100 are great guns that you can find used at a good price, a Browning BT-99 is a little more, but well wirth it. Go to a ATA or PITA shoot, (a state match would be great), there are always a few guns for sale at good prices at these shoots. Ray

Good luck with your new club, i started one here last yr, Powder River Practical Shooters, Baker City, Or. we started with 5 local uspsa members and 2 RO's, now we have 15 local members and 8 RO's, and avg 20 shooters per match last yr. it was a labor of love to get it started, and now it growing and its a pretty good feeling. i started with absolutly nothing, but an idea. but you may want to re-think having free matches, $3.00 a head from the classifier goes to uspsa, and at $51.00 for a box of targets, you might want to charge a little bit. hope it works out as good for you as it did for me.
