  1. I bolted my 550 to a section of 2x12 that I then bolted to the counter top. That way I can unbolt it and for temporary mounting, C-Clamp it to some other sturdy surface. If that cart wiggles or moves at all I wouldn't use it.
  2. We only had 15 show for our monthly USPSA match yesterday (normal is 15-25). It did help us get finished more quickly.

  4. Cool! I'll be there Monday evening. I look like this guy just with more gray and less screaming: http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Bert_the_Conqueror PM on the way...
  5. Monday night looks really good. I get to Newport news around 3:30 so I can make it there by 6:30 with no problem. Are you going to that one? Do you know expected round count? Is it done IDPA (style)? Do I need concealment? Thanks, Mike
  6. For me, it was crimping before the bullet was fully seated and then, as the bullet was seated farther, it pushed the top edge of the case mouth down and caused it to bulge outward. I'm not familiar with the Redding dies. Is it possible the 3rd stage is seating and crimping? Or maybe the 4th stage is seating it farther when it should only be crimping?
  7. I had that problem when I was seating the bullet and crimping on the same stage (3). I bought another crimping die, set the die at stage 3 to only seat, then only crimp on stage 4. The problem went away completely.
  8. Welcome! Let the young one win every once in a while.
  9. Keep in mind that there are very specific rules about gun handling that you'll have to observe when transferring gear and gun. You'll have to go to the safe area each time to do so. I would suggest removing all of the mags from the belt before arriving at the safe area. I would then remove the gun and lay it on the table, transfer the belt(s), then reholster the gun. Remember to leave the safe area before handling the mags again. Honestly, I would just get her a decent leather belt from Walmart for $10 and use some Uncle Mike's holster & mag pouches. If she does decide to get serious about it, then she can get a full setup and you'll have a spare to load friends when they come.
  10. Wow, she is kicking your butt (though you're a little closer, now). Very cool of y'all to do this.
  11. There are many of us grateful civilians that realize the freedom we get to enjoy every day is only possible because people like you protect it every day. Thank you!
  12. I don't remember if NT had it, but 2000, 2003, and XP all had a "Run" menu option when you clicked "Start". Windows 7 no longer has that but instead has an entry field just above/next to the Start button when you click it. That entry field can be used to search and/or run programs. Many versions (including 2003, XP, and Windows 7) also give you a "Run" prompt if you hold the Windows key and hit the letter R. To exit a cmd prompt you type exit and hit the enter key.
  13. Been shooting for 4 years, started USPSA 2 years ago as C in Limited, L-10, and then Production. Still C in all of them 2 years later.
  14. So Glenn...could us "life-sized" guys make a few bucks renting out the shade we create?
  15. Hi, Dale! Talk your Dad into taking you to this: http://www.juniorshootercamp.org/index.html It may involve some car washing, grass cutting, shoe shining, etc.
  16. For Windows you can enter the following from a command prompt: tracert brianenos.com ...or... tracert 74.55.30.98 From my machine: I was surprised to see so many hopes once it got to "ThePlanet". Average ping times for me are less than the 110ms shown in the tracert.
  17. I have never measured the temp but mine does get HOT. Running the vacuum cleaner does seem to help pull some cool air through it.

  19. I almost always only look at the combined results. I want to know how I did in comparison to my friends that shoot in other divisions and, in local matches, there often aren't enough shooters in each division to get an accurate comparison of how you did.
  20. Hi, Will! My 12 year old and I will be coming up to Spartanburg for the first time in 2 weeks. Hope to see you there for that one. We have our monthly USPSA match in Augusta the 4th Saturday, so I'll have to wait for the 1st Saturday. Do any of your kids shoot?
