  3. IDPA match and Classifier BGSL http://www.bgslinc.com/index.php is having their monthly IDPA match this Saturday, September 19, 2009. Weather permitting, we will offer the 90 round Classifier after the main match. Match registration will be open from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the shelter at the pistol pits. New shooter registration will be open from 8:45 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. New shooters must be there no later than 9:00 for the new shooter check. The new gate procedure will be in effect for this match and will work this way: If you are a member you will just need to use your gate card to open the gate. If you are not a BGSL member, simply use the key pad at the gate to call the number displayed on the sign for Pistol (006) and whoever has the Pistol phone will use it to remotely open the gate after you state that you are there for the IDPA match. The Pistol phone will be answered from 8:45 until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
  4. Mitch Rapp! I would not won't to be on his bad side. A.T.
  5. I did a search on audible.com for Larry Correia. No such luck. I haven't "read" a book (except Brian's) in almost 4 years. Audible Rocks! A.T.
  6. My shooting glasses focal length is my front sight. The targets, even at 25 yds are not that blurry. A.T.
  7. I'm sorry to hear this Brian. You have a life time of great memories. A.T.
  8. Yes. And if the shooter shoots the popper, the shooter AND you can be give a procedural penalty. Yep, what I thought. But I sure as heck wanted to. A.T.
  9. At our last USPSA shoot, one of the stages was shot where you traveled in an upside down "U". One of the shots was a popper. The shooter hit the popper, but it did not fall. The shooter did not notice. The SO did, and at the end asked the shooter a couple of times if he was through. The shooter said yes. If I had yelled "popper!", and the shooter had turned and saw the popper and then shot it, would I have been wrong doing that? A.T.
  10. Ok, I finally got some large pistol primers. I'm getting ready to load some lubed lead bullets in .45. How often should I clean my dies? What should I use to clean them? Thanks, A.T.

I sent this to my wife and my ex-wife. For some reason, they both replied back they understood completely. What did they mean? A.T.
  12. Yeah you can't beat home grown tomatoes. Sadly it's been so cool here, (only got 90 or above 5 days) we've only had maybe 20 tomatoes from two plants. I planted the variety Celebrity, differently the wrong type. A.T.
  13. With Solo 1000, I drop 5 or 6 loads. I then drop ten and weigh. So far, so good. A.T.
  14. With Zero 147 JHP, I'm using 3.6 gr of Solo 1000 for an average of 929 fps. My AOL is 1.40. YMMV, A.T.
  15. With my Trojan, I'm using MG 124 JHP with 4.5 gr of Solo 1000. With 11 shots the average fps is 1045. My AOL is 1.40. YMMV, A.T.
  16. Rules require a minimum velocity of 750 FPS with a 120 PF minimum for the stop plate. Thanks LeRoy, A.T.
  17. Is really necessary to reach PF? I understand on the longer steel if your poking along at 500 fps, you lose time. But what other considerations? Thanks, A.T.
  18. I've recently ordered from them several times. Absolutely NO problems. A.T.
  19. IMO, to be fair to all , the ammo should be left under a table or in the shade. A.T.
