If you're having to call an FFL you're doing too much work. Buyer should arrange it. Just go to the ATF website . It's written in plain English. Fedex and UPS will pick up if you have an account.

Federal law for handguns.
-
I like that mod! It's pretty awesome. Roberto is loading quads, but not on the shoulder. Just kind of holds it upside down flat. Loading stronghand. I'm doing one for my Benelli now. Much softer steel on Benelli lifter.

All handguns need overnight delivery. No markings on box, by law. If you're shipping back to manufacturer for service, you can ship directly to them. Long guns can go ground (or air if you're in a hurry), again in an unmarked box. If you are selling gun, must ship to FFL and buyer must go to FFL and fill out forms as usual for any gun purchase. You should be aware of gun laws of state you are shipping to. i.e. Don't ship an AR to New York, FFL will not release it and may or may not have to report it besides putting it in his book. If shipping handgun to California, I would call the FFL you wish to send it to and ask him if the gun is California legal, and if it must be shipped from FFL. Probably just don't sell to California, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, DC, Hawaii. Always check latest regulations on ATF website. And California DOJ website if you must. Never heard of shipmygun.

Need advice building lightest upper I can
Jadeslade replied to Robert King's topic in Rifle - Technical
I don't understand your comment. I just did a search for "lightweight upper" in "rifle technical" and got 3 pages of links Good for you. -
No issues loads weak hand, 2's, quads, weak and strong hand. Easily. Also cut another coil off lifter return spring (5). Ran 2 boxes of shells through it yesterday. Now I'm going to polish is. Every tiny fingers won't get caught.

Need advice building lightest upper I can
Jadeslade replied to Robert King's topic in Rifle - Technical
Search on Enos forum sucks. You have to go out to Google and search and then drop back in. Dude just wants some advice. BCM 15inch keymod hand guard is very light. Daniel defense lightweight barrels very good. Can go to 14 1/2 with pinned comp. Some upper receivers are lighter than others. -
That's why they use to call it "turn and burn". That's how Pat Kelley taught me to load my shotgun originally. It was kind of like "load 2", but not exactly as I was grabbing 2 from Choate 6 round carriers which I still sometimes use on ridiculous long stages. Look, some guys still use arm carriers and gun mounted shell carriers and still smoke the rest of the shooters. That's essentially load one. They just do it real fast.

Yeah I forgot about the TA-11, I haven't used an ACOG for about 5 years, but I loved my TA01, but it was part of deal to get my car payments down a 150 bucks a month on top of a Sabre M4. Great gun great deal.. I agree with you. If I knew I was going to have eye surgery and would see better than I ever have, I would have kept it. ACOG's, although I haven't seen new ones, are great glass and like Kurt says, you can use them at any distance. I needed an adjustable eyepiece, so I switched to TR24. If I was starting over I might go with a stock M4 and a 4x ACOG. I suspect KurtM has the time under the gun and knows where it hits, which what it's all about. Practice and knowing your gun.
-
Don't know about a 3.5 ACOG. Must be a Mini The regular ACOG-They're 4x. Great glass, great scopes but for 0-30 yds probably use your knuckle or a NSNTA01 with the little iron sight on it. Knuckle is better

Why Can't I Shoot my Benelli at ANY RANGE in the Houston Area?
Jadeslade replied to Nalapombu's topic in Shotgun - Technical
All the debutantes in Houston. -
6-7 hours from set up 5 stages. and be off the range. 1:45 later than normal 1 PM cause rain and cold. It goes in cycles. Today we had enough to do it, but the day before not gonna happen here for USPSA yes for some 3 Gun Nation stages, but those are still a novelty so higher interest day before.

Snap shooting at 7yds. Low ready, snap to mount and shoot one. Do it over and over until you can do it with eyes closed. You will not see the hits on IPSC target. But you should check and see they are all in A. high or low. Standing at 50 should be on autopilot. Snap it up two hits. Maybe your stance should be a little wider, maybe a little more bladed. If you zero your rifle, you should be able to stand and hit a gong at 200, bing bing. Aim a little low at 200, a little high at 300. For 400 you need to know the drop and hold off. More than that kind of depends. Chrono the ammo and run a ballistics program. AE 223 can be real variable. It I was shooting in Texas, might choose a little more consistent, accurate ammo.

What ammo? PRI comps are awesome.

3 Gun Nation rule changes.
Jadeslade replied to El Guapo's topic in Multi-gun Rules / Stage Design / Match Administration
How about these instead; 18" JP 15 with LM and ULW buffer, Prismatic, and x products x-15 50 round magazine Infinity 9mm with 140mm mags downloaded to 15 Triangle sports M2 plugged at 8 Not complicated at all. And fully within the current rules. Again, I don't care who has what equipment, the rules are the rules, if I like them I will play, if not I will take my bat and my ball and play somewhere else. Sounds like a good combo to me. -
This is weird question. Sounds like something I might hear at the Double X bar in Mesa. Que pasa?

Give me your thought on a ace skeleton stock.
Jadeslade replied to kevinm's topic in Multi-gun Gear & Accessories
what are some other good options? standard A2 from Brownells, VLTOR clubfoot, any standard stock from BCM-which includes LMT stocks, anything from Magpul-that's about a dozen there. There are other specialty companies. -
Silk. not zip, but very warm , easy to use, I use the lightweight. I have some under armour and Nike long sleeve poly, too. The silk can go under that if it's really cold or rainy. Cotton is the worst fabric in cold or wet. http://wintersilks.blair.com/c/silk-long-underwear/long-underwear-for-men/pc/195/385.uts
