  1. I really have no idea what you are talking about and how that relates to my comment that you quotes which was a reply to someone else and you seem to have misunderstood. But whatever, carry on being angry about whatever has upset you, I'm not really sure what you are trying to say. im not anything. What are you talking about? You made up a hypothetical that doesn't exist. I was just explaining Factory to you.
  2. If you don't shoot 3GN Matches, why do you care? If you do, do you not trust these guys to get it right? I do. 3GN is moving way faster than anybody else, no time like the present. Waiting for a bunch of shooters to get rules together is like herding cats. Not gonna happen. I must have missed the part that said all matches in the US are to be run by these 3GN rules. Vlad, I am not sure you understand what Factory is, that's what I meant by its just a name. You can still have all the mods you want on your rifle, irons and/or 1x dot ,just mags limited to 30, all the mods you want on your shotgun, just limited to 8 in tube, and pistol mags loaded to 15. A lot of this just sounds like "3GN" you suck. Really it does.
  3. I'm guessing because enforcing that would suck for everyone involved. It's a name. For 3GN. Got a better one? Why don't we have Tactical really mean Tactical in USPSA? Why is Heavy Metal called that in USPSA? You could call it Sniper Division. or BOP Guard Division. Heavy Metal is Black Sabbath. I am amazed that everybody's Speedo got so twisted. Who cares if the "outlaw matches come on board?" They have their own rules and usually sell out.
  4. Somebody close this topic. Same stuff over and over and over again.
  5. I read them. Some changes made from the first set I read. Different terminology than USPSA, to differentiate 3 GN. No problem. Factory sounds cool, especially for club matches. I'll shoot Practical most of the time, likely most will. I think no drama here. I don't think so messy. The rope thing I get. Having set up 3 club matches in the last 3 months-there's nothing lazy about it. If we want to get a match in, set it up and take it down fast, rope is a great boundary. People have been pushing it too far, so you learn not to touch it. There are club, regional, and pro level events. All the big matches are big matches-there are not club level RM or Blue Ridge or IronMan. I like this set up.
  6. Ok. My bad. This new Tapatalk doesn't make it easy to see pics. Had one quad load yesterday in 3GN classifier. Went ok, but it could be smoother. Might take more off that side today. Thanks.
  7. You mean right side upside down? The one away from the number? Picture would be great.
  8. . I can just call Paul. What's your point? . It was informative what Para Larry posted. This is the Area 2 Desert Classic thread. For many shooters the terms Desert Classic and Area 2 have been synonymous. It has been one of the premier, if not the premier uspsa pistol match in the nation. I don't know what has you all powered up, but it's not about you. Forums are for shared knowledge. Just curious about the change. Comparing a match like the WesternStates SS, which I have shot and think is an excellent match, with a 3 day major area match is the proverbial apples and oranges. It's an important decision in the shooting world. I am sure a lot more people than I would like to know. You're looking for criticism. There isn't any. This match would fill whether it was the Area 2 Match or not.
  9. Well you got an answer from A GUY FROM RIO. I have been a member out there for dogs years and that was the info I was given. But you can believe whatever you want. I didn't know you were the match director, sorry. Shot it a bunch, and used to belong to the club. It would be informative to put out a statement. Some people just want to know. Regime change was what one current member told me. I really don't care to argue. Was just asking for information from people who made the decision.
  10. the rulebook *clearly* defines an AD as something else.and you clearly have a woody for negativity. Leave me alone. If I'm RO and I call AD, and your the MD want to overrule me, be happy. MarkCo gets it. You just want to argue.
  11. Well like you know I think uspsa has about as much to do with the Desert Classic as El Niño. I'm really asking the guys at Rio why the flip? It's only been there about 25 years.
  12. Hey man, I quit too. But when it's raining and cold, it's nice to have that personal fire under the hood. I don't inhale! Looking to seeing you on the range soon. Oh, bring some long underwear for that ATL shotgun match. I think this thread is totally diverted now. God bless you all.
  13. I'm just glad Jesse is still gonna be shooting a lot. He's entertaining as hell, comes up with some awesome solutions , always has cigarettes, and is like , fun!
  14. That's usually a fine lower. Price isn't the only issue. Sounds like a complete. Good 2 stage trigger normally. How does it not have a 2 stage? Listen to these guys.
  15. Can I come over your house? I'll trade you ammo for time. My local range has put in a few specific rules to keep me from practicing like I used to. Like what's dangerous about practicing like Tom Knapp? Or setting up a popper with flying clays?
  16. I think assaulter is pretty much right about the amount of money you need. I think there are as many professional full time shooters as there are professional water skiers, Alpine skiers, drag racers, and mountain climbers. Not a whole lot. There are a bunch of professional bowlers, who make a lot of money, are on ESPN and sell lots of stuff. Go figure. I think the jury is still out on professional 3 gun shooters being able to sell stuff. I hope they can, because I am enjoying the smorgasbord of matches I am able to pick and choose from this year. All due to increased interest and a couple different groups trying to up the exposure. Ten years ago there were a few big matches and some random local/regional matches. Hard to find out about and harder to get into, because it was word of mouth and all that. I think that what is needed more than anything for a new shooter to get in is a place to practice-your own range and targets. That is really the demarcation between good and great shooters. The AMU are paid to shoot and I expect them to win every match. Its a surprise when they don't. That's the pressure. The flip side of that is that we all know a few shooters who could easily be on the 3GN Pro Tour, who are not, because of lifestyle or job commitments. Flatland and orangeman-I think you would make a whole lot more money with Team Viagra.
  17. Flush IC. Wrench. Plug. Oh yeah, the 1/2" Stock insert if it's not on the gun. To lengthen LOP.
  18. The horse is not dead. I think I'm going with if chicks dig it the way you load, you cool.
  19. http://www.berettasupport.com/service/pg_manual_request.htm Link is for X400 extrema. Beretta has not put a 1301 Manual up yet. One is supposed to come with the gun...... Here are a few pages FYI.3 Pages on 1301.pdf
  20. Thanks. Inflation. Used to be two dollar
  21. 2 inch reflector tape in the color of your choice sticks very well. A few well placed triangles or squares should do nicely. Duct tape not so much. Or make a logo stencil of your choosing and spray paint it on.
  22. http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/the-federal-register/ If you are not sure how the Federal Register works (you said you never heard of it), may I suggest a course in Political Science at a local junior college? It is how government rulings (law) are updated by Federal agencies and in concert with the Congressional Record, provide the written record of current laws and updates. I'd suggest a three day reading period, including all relevant context in the years of the major firearms laws, 1934, 1968, and 1986. Lexis/Nexis will help you in this. A certified librarian should be able to help you navigate. As will several pots of coffee and occasional nap.I would never take someone else's opinion as the word. Yes, it is bad science that "opinion/story" from "someone" raises your concerns. Implies you are not well versed in materia subjecta. The only person you can trust is yourself. I never suggested anything. I simply asked Dustbuster if those stamps worked good. You decided to weigh in. Have nice day.
