    STI DVC COMP

Well- got the DVC today- hit the range for a really quick test- had some HS6 8.2gr and PD 124/125 JHP-. Cmore was a little to the right- other than that all 50 rounds hit the A zone at 15 yards- not one FTE/FTF- I think because of the STI mags the oal needs to come down to 1.160- these where long at 1.169- they all fed fine- just looks like the bullet was almost touching the front of the mag? Now ill have to hit the chrono- with the HS6- CFE- and maybe AC.

    STI DVC COMP

No lead base. Jack all are fully covered. So I guess I need to say full metal jacket for the round nose. Pick up the DVC today, going to clean it. Oil it up. And stop by the range to test it.

    STI DVC COMP

Going To use 124JHP/CMJ- because I have 10,000 of them!
  5. 60 miles is nothing- for years I drove to one club over 100 miles away- when gas went to 3.00 plus I had to stop- Any way- if your not doing competitions don't go with an open gun- I just ordered a DVC open today- but two matches are less than 8 miles from me!
  6. So now that you have Had the DVC a few months what can you add for a yes or no on it.
  7. Just wondering what you can run for OAL? I hear CK chambers are short?? Can you confirm your oal please.

    STI DVC COMP

Thanks all- got another tip to change to a 90 degree mount. to help brass clear the bottom of the stock mount.
  10. Good to hear as I will be ordering the DVC 9mm on Monday- Do You think it could benefit from a 90 degree mount? Just to help with more clearance for ejection.
  11. Any thoughts on the DVC open comp? RE: is it more suited for the 38s case. Can it be made to work properly with the 9mm case. I am looking to buy the DVC Monday. And that comp looks awfully big for the gas that a 9mm can produce. I know it's going to come down to powder and bullet choices in the end, and possibly a 90 degree mount. Who has one in 9mm and what have you experienced. Thanks
  12. I tried a single stage Timney- it only worked 50% of the time- went back to stock AR with JP yellow springs-
  13. The lower is Spikes AR15 standard lower.
  14. OK- just starting into PCC- using the Cotl/Brownell 32 round mags and a TF plus 10. Are mag wells allowed- cant find any info on that- If so what have you used and does it help if a reload is necessary? PS: using a Hann Block in an AR15 lower- Thanks
  15. Talked to them yesterday- 3/30/17 The 3,5lb trigger will not work 100% of the time in 9mm AR setup.
  16. Need a quick start point for PCC load- Bayou 135gr rn- N320 OAL about 1.125 Thanks
  17. Find someone with an OU 12ga in 28-30" barrels for me- as it says Browning or Beretta.

A new club opened up to the public down here- Saltwater Gun Club- sporting clays, and skeet,

plus an 800 meter R Range- and several pistol bays.

10 years ago I sold my shotguns- had to be a member to shoot at St Augustine Gun Club.

  18. Dan thanks. haven't shot the Sig Max yet with it- will shoot a match and look at it during the match. I shot with you back in that day- J Dix, P, Feeley, R. Lambert, B, Herd and all the Harvard boys!
  19. Is it necessary to have the FLGR relieved/chamfered so it does not hit the link area/frame on 1911. I see some are from the factory and from custom gun builders.
  20. T1 H1 Sig and now Black Spider- all working fine-
  21. Bayou Bullets 124 gr True Blue 4.6 gr- also used in my 1911 so its standardized-
  22. 10"" CMMG I can load out to 1.160- that's all I have loaded to. Built the PCC 5 years ago.
  23. I use CMC 3.5lb. and Timney 3.0lb.
