  1. Mike Orlen does good work and is VERY reasonably priced. His phone number is (413) 256-1630
  2. If done right the bead is definately a huge help. You don't stare at it but its nice to have a reference point out there. I know one every shot I take in skeet I have seen the bead as a reference point out of the corner of my eye for singles as well as doubles. I also blink the left eye closed once I first pick up on the target and actually will take the shot with the one eye closed and I still break a good amount of targets on the skeet field so it can be done.have seen guys start moving the gun on the pull call instead of waiting to see the bird so whatever works best for you
  3. CAA which I only have used in 2 matches with basically the exact same stage setup/procedure(shoot 6 reload shoot 6) then repeat in a second string. That is the only time I ever use the mag coupler. Short stages-30 round pmag, long stages 45 round suddendeath mag or the beta mag.
  4. Thanks enjoyed shooting with you. Chris, I know the feeling been doing about 60 hrs a week here and haven't had the chance to pull the trigger since the state shoot. My guns were still dirty from the state shoot at this match lol. Hopefully it will slow down some and be able to get some more shooting in as well. Not too much local so its a min of about 2.5-3 hrs to shoot much of anything
  5. Another good match as usual, well worth the long drive. Was the first time shooting a gun since the Kentucky state though and it showed though lol
  6. Was just checking if the match was still on and what time does it start in the morning? The website is down right now but I think I got the directions correct at 8100 US 22 East Circleville, OH
  7. As long as I can get off work Im gonna try and make it up to the shoot. Haven't shot since the Ky state so need to get out some more
  8. Doesen't mec gar actually make alot/most of the sig factory mags? I know they make alot of companies oem mags for them and have been told they do most of Sigs mags for them
  9. I agree the SuddenDeath mags are the way to go. I got one from him and it works perfectly and has never had a problem at all. I have a comp ordered from him too and its equally as quality a piece. Real good guy to deal with on top of it
  10. I like the round limit in uspsa for production. It allows the competition to be more open to different types of guns. Make it unlimited and its going to be like limited and open are now trying to cram as many rounds in the mag as physically. It also allows those in ban states(and if we get another ban in the future) a place to compete without having to shell out big bucks for magazines. Production is much more of a "street gun" game than any of the other guns the same as single stack. It allows a good starting place for people to get into the sport without dropping big bucks on a gun to be competative. The way it is now one can have a glock 17/34, an uncle mikes holser and mag pouches and have a pretty competative setup (especially in the ban states), not go out get the same gun and have to pay big bucks for "preban" mags that are legal in their state or be at a major disadvantage. Round limits also allow more guns to be competative, make it unlimited and flush and the glock is gonna be basically the only competative gun
  11. Plan on it as soon as the optics arrive. The targets arnt that big of a deal as long as they are bigger than those steel that were about 3inches wide if that.
  12. Ya the time savings would be high but I probibally spent over half the stage time on those targets where the other ones could have been a run and gun as the ranges were pretty close. I figure If I would have just blown the steel my time would have been over a min quicker by far which would have easily made up the difference. With the optics its alot harder to makeup that time as it just takes less time to hit the longer shots with a scope. With Iron sights the farther shots usually take alot more time. Its usually the higher the hit factor the easier it is to have a mike as it costs you less, if a very large chunk of time is saved from those tarrgets It would be a benefit
  13. Kinda hard to hit them when you can barely see then without optics on the gun and takes way more time than just skipping them would have done. Full size ipsc target not bad with the iron sights but those vertical steel especially were hard to see with the iron sights and the mini poppers wernt that easy either. Kinda hard to hit something you can barely see. The time benefit would have been alot more valuable than the hits on the steel in limited.
  14. Did pretty good except for the last stage. Right after I shot I realized I should have gamed it and shot the 6 steel rounds as fast as possible, take the mikes and fly through the rest of the stage. Oh well need to think of those plans sooner next time
  15. Anyone else try and pull the results up? The date link on the page is't there when I tried it
  16. For triggers look at the JARD 2pound trigger. ALot better feeling trigger than the JP
  17. It was a real good match you missed out big time. High round counts, lots of moving and all 3 guns in most stages.
  18. In L10 you would want the 40sw anyway over the 9mm to make major where the 9mm is minor
  19. Is the magnet test for rifle ammo for all the stages or just the rifle stage with the steel on it? Figure I need the Lake City good stuff for that one but was hoping to use the cheap stuff on the other stuff if possible
  20. I like the Federal tactical low recoil. They work well and operate my 1100 like a champ and really cut the recoil down over full power
  21. I have always liked the hiviz comp sights on my skeetgun. They arn't big enough to be a total distraction like the clip on/magnetic ones and allow you to actully concentrate more on the target and still see the bead in your peripheral vision to help prevent looking for the bead to "check your lead" A little reference point out there isn't a bad thing as long as thats all it is and not the focus of your attention. AAA in all 5 guns and HOA
  22. My pistols just lay flat on the table for table starts. The rifle is a different matter lol. I use my beta mag for rifle table starts and with the vertical foregrip it can stand straight up balanced all day
  23. I don't like alot of no shoots yet I still come lol. Just glad they dont have a classifier like they did last match
