  1. I put an outlet inside my safe that has a switch on it and use a rope light. Works great. I mounted the switch on the bottom and can flip it on with my foot.
  2. Last year I shot almost evey match wearing my TDK (5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt) blue "tacti croks" and various gun t-shirts. My TDK is OD in color, so does that make it wrong? Some times I was "comando" but it was cause it was freaking hot out. Is that wrong? I think too many people get their pantys in a bunch over nothing. Lighten up people, there are much bigger issues out there that are worth spending some energy on. Jon
  3. Sort of like wanting a 5" 625....... For years.....
  4. I'm in. Major. Only have 6 shooters so might as well shoot major.
  5. Hop, I may have been drinking but your post is confusing. Yes or No for 2014? Enquiring minds want to know!
  6. As if now we are planning on having a 2 Days of Revo on 9/20 and 9/21 for those that are intrested. It may be a rouge match but we are looking at doing saturday as a "USPSA" type match and sunday a steel match. Revolver only. More news will follow with more details as the plans get laid.
  7. It your using a North Mountain you can use a moon clip to hold the holder out and you can just jam your two moons on to the post.
  8. Easy fix. You can drive out the old bushing from the rear with a punch. A new bushing is cheap from Brownells or where ever. To reinstall the new one I used a steel rod put down the barrel to seat the new bushing in to the frame. I replace 5 or 6 of them in my 610's. (I did wrap the steel rod in tape for protection of the barrel) I did finaly figure out that I was buring out bushings by using brass cases that should have been tossed out. The primer pockets where worn out and I was getting what was really high pressure flame cutting around the primer and cutting up the bushing. Jon
  9. "margianal ignition" is like being a "little bit" pregnant. As for the accuracy issue it is most likely due to increase or decrease in lock time + hammer inertia affecting your gun. Add into that if your not shooting well seated primers it will take that much more time to ignite while the firing pin finishes steating the primer before it strikes the anvil. Just my thoughts.
  10. I do my with a Dremel and diamond bits. All free hand. Just takes some time and beer.
  11. I went to a longer tube from Nordic and cut the spring so I could only load 8.5 rounds so I could allways get my full 8 in the tube without fighting the last one in and worrying about the brand of rounds.
  12. I have shot 9,000+ rounds of BBI 180gr bullets out of my 610 and have not cleaned the barrel a single time. I use W231 for all my loads. And yes, the gun still shoots very accurately. I do have to clean the chambers once in a while but that is it. One other issue when loading cast or coated bullets is over crimping your rounds, this will strip the coating and increase leading too. Just a thought.
  13. We should be able to buy 6 shot revo's all day long for good scrap metal prices!
  14. I have shot many thousands of Wolf/Tula 55gr rounds and under 200yrs its fine. In all the rounds fire only had 1 round with a primer in backwards. I was out at the range today and was consitantly hitting the 200yrd 8" gong with the Tula ammo. Its cheap and it works.

    New Hip

Heal fast Hop, and listen to your nurses!
  16. Last week we had 8 shooters brave the world of revo. One stand out was a guy named Chris who shot a model 66 and loaded not with speed loaders but from SKS striper clip loaded with 38 special. Not competitive but he had a great time. Hats off to you Chris! I thank all that stepped up and gave it a try for the first time!
  17. lol, they want to run on 8 legs before they even try to walk on 6.
  18. Oh, yea. We even had a guy shooting a model 66 and loading with 38s placed in SKS stripper clips. It was slow but at least he came out and gave it a try. He gets a big thumbs up from me for trying!
  19. Last week we had unoffical "revo night" at our weekly match. We had 8 revo shooters that night (normal is 1-2). Everyone had fun, a lot of the shooters do not normally shoot revo but joined in for the fun. I lent one of my 610's to a dedicated limited shooter a few days before the match and he is now searching for a revo to buy. He told me it was the most addicive gun he has ever shot (aparently more fun then his Edge and Limcat guns). I think part of trying to get new shooters, and increasing revo participation is exposing and getting other to try it be for they buy it. I lent out a couple of rigs and shot my Ruger Police Six in 9mm so others could use my "more competitive" equipment. Its like take a friend to the range, lent your equipment to someone with even a little intrest and get them to shoot a match. That is how we will increase our numbers. Like the MCC and stand alone revo nationals we can increase the number of shooters. 6 or 8 shot I will shoot what I have reguardless of what they do to the division. Jon
