  1. Here is my new to me TS. i want to get thin aluminum grips. Which ones fit with this mag funnel?
  2. CO and single stack.....The only two divisions where folks are afraid of competition from a revolver. It must be the blazing fast reload they're afraid of. Side bets, loser carries the range bags, buys dinner or liquid refreshment!
  3. Your loads do look really smoky in the video with the sun in the background. Did the smoke affect you seeing the plates? What load are you using?
  4. And yet another obviously blatant attempt to hijack this thread! It's perfectly clear to everyone that 10mm has absolutely nothing to do with 40 S&W. Well, maybe they do use the same diameter bullet. And maybe some people do load 40 out to 10mm length. But, other than that Mrs. Lincoln ... Boy no kidding! To think that SA had the machinery set up for 10mm slides and did not run a couple hundred .40 S&W slides for a Range Officer in our beloved .40 S&W:)
  5. Lipsey 10 MM, check around the 4 minute mark in this video:
  6. How about if SA would offer a complete upper in .40 S&W that would fit the RO or Loaded models?
  7. I think you could safely load 4 grains of Clays at 1.250 OAL and set the crimp to .469. Chamber check in your barrels and load your mags to insure smooth feeding and you are good to go. That should make major anywhere and run in most 1911 .45's.
  8. I want to replace the sights on my Springfield TRP non rail. I am curious if anyone else has done this and how it worked out. What sights did you use? Mine has the Novak sights, rear is .375 tall and the front is .180 tall. I prefer a fiber optic front insert. Thanks, Keith
  9. I like the Safariland with belt loop attachment. Here is a link to an article---> http://modernserviceweapons.com/?p=4139
  10. I am considering getting a Rock Island 2011 .40. Can those of you with experience with them share how they have worked for you? Do Para mags work in the Rock? Does the Rock appear to be able to hold up over the long haul? Thanks in advance, Keith
  11. Does it just require punching the trigger pin out and wiggling the trigger and trigger bar out?
  12. GSSF did this same type of thing a few years ago. Perhaps someone experienced how it affected the GSSF game could offer insight into how it would affect the IDPA game? IMO the winners will continue to win. A few folks who can shoot but have bad wheels might move up a few placements. But I don't see this changing the landscape of IDPA.
  13. I suggest you shoot off a bench with the butt of the weapon on a rolled up towel. Read this thread, good info------> http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=102415&hl=%2Btowel%2Bgman#entry1167075
  14. My SP01 likes Bear Creek Bullets sized .357 and .358 in the 125 to 130 range. Very accurate!
  15. I suggest the SP01 Shadow. It has the larger magwell as well as an extended mag release which the regular CZ75/85 does not have. A Shadow also will have good sights on it already. The SP01 Shadow is really a good deal IMO.
  16. It does add up. It makes the package deals offered by CGW and CZC look more attractive. Starting with a Shadow makes sense when you add in some of the parts costs to a SP01 to make it equal to a Shadow. Here is CA Shadows bring a premium price so the SP01 is a good option.
  17. I had David assemble the hammer, disconnector, strut assembly and thats an extra $30. Plus I got the Shadow mag release, flat mainspring plug, sights, 85c combat trigger plus the aluminum grips which are not on either invoice. I think the total is just shy of $600.
  18. $600??? What did you think those parts are free
  19. I have not slugged mine. But I have found better accuracy with .357 and .358 sized LEAD bullets.
  20. Also I recommend these mags: http://gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=130&products_id=1496
  21. I purchased a new SP01 and Followed the Prof. Atlas recipe with a couple of added wrinkles. SP01 + $600 in parts = Great Pistol.
