  1. I buy a case of Remingtons at the beginning of each season. Shoot them up and then reload them. They work great, especially in DAve's moons. Don't waste your money on nickle brass though. They don't last long at all.
  2. Bubba does purdy good with dem speedloaders huh. Congrats
  3. Did you call him? The ad says the 25-2 is sold but the 25 with no dash is still available for $750.
  4. It's listed in the Classified section 2nd page. WTS: S&W M25 NoDash. I checked this morning and it's still listed.
  5. There's a 6 1/2 inch Model 25 on sale on the Smith & Wesson Forum. I'd buy it myself but have a new 625 I'm playing with. Just thought I'd mention it so that one of our BE people could take advantage of it.
  6. Yeah, 231 is a great powder but very dirty. Looks like you found the right load. Now you know how important it is to keep all the brass the same. I buy a case of Fed 158 grainers in January, shoot them until they are gone and then use that for my brass for the year. Try using the same headstamp. your groups will be tightest this way also.
  7. A round stone would work to just break the edge. If you want you could yous a Dremel with a craytex wheel but be very careful and don't take off too much.
  8. I can't believe I fell asleep and missed the first hour and 1/2 of the show. I'll be seeing it tomorrow for sure.
  9. Fixed it with bearing. Thanks for all the help. I sure do love this action Randy. Great work.
  10. Yep, thanks for the correction. End shake not BC. Appreciate the help.
  11. Well, I finally had a few misfires today with my 627. Seems to happen about every 5000- 7000 rounds. The BC is .007. What would you do, add a endshake bearing or stretch the crane?
  12. If you want a Randy new trigger job the older style is a negative. But I'm sure he can still slick it up real well for you.
  13. I used the Flex Hone and it made a great difference in the way the brass wouldl drop into the cylinders.
  14. Sound to me more like powder flakes under the star. Trigger works fine, then gets extremely hard. Especially with light load where all the powder is not getting burned. Clean under the star. Depending on the powder some leave an aweful lot of junk in the cylinder that can get under the star during reloading.
  15. I've never had much luck with hollow points in a revolver but would love to hear what you experience if you decide to try them. When I've tested anything but round nose in my 627 or 625 I find the bullets do hang up slightly during reload. I'm not willing to give up any speed where I can possibly make it up.
  16. If you look the firing pin you will notice a flat area milled out of it. When you put the pin back in make sure the flat area is facing down so that the little pin can fit in there. Push the firing pin forward a bit, again so that pin can fit into the slot and you are all set.
  17. Smith-Wessonforum.com has lots of good information. Seems there are many people that visit here and there. Another is Sixgunner.com
  18. I've been shooting Billy Bullets here in Phoenix, a moly coated bullet and have had great luck with them. I especially like the no smoke advantage to moly. I've also experienced better accuracy with them.
  19. Just order your powder on line. Yes you will have to pay Hazmat but you will get what you want. Buy lots and save money.
  20. Look at the second hand of an analog watch and forget about the beeps already.
  21. Tough choice but I like the DVD better than the book. Watching Matt perform and explain things the way his does is very enjoyable. His water bottle technique is really shown in the video and is a great learning tool.
  22. Brian's book will give you a lot of information and make you think. I just finished Matt's book. Took about 2 hours to read and now I'll take a lot of time to let it sink in and do all the exercises. Although it is written primarily for the auto there is so much good information that can easily be transfered to the revolver shooter. Matt gives you many examples of how to pick up speed in draw, target aquisition, movement, sight picture etc. And he asks the important question which is basically (What are you willing to do to improve)?
  23. Her not trusting you is her problem, not yours. Walk away, don't look back! Do you really have time in your life to worry about it?
