  1. had both..... the cz hands down for me..... i think the stock II needed a lot of loving from a gunsmith to get it to the level of the cz.... now the gold team.....thats a differant story
  2. youll have to find them used for the $400 mark .... at least where i am glock 26...never any issues...have 2 kahr pm9....once broken in ( 300 rounds) flawless......
  3. they are decent guns, but still quite a few out there that are nicer for the money nightahwk wilson combat cristensen arms dan wesson
  4. i have had a few m&p's 1 pro, 1 pro longslide, even with a bunch of stuff done to them, they couldnt compare to the cz sp-01 shadow custom i had.......
  5. im in the same boat.... i have gunsmith locally that said if i bought a new trubor barrel from sti he could chamber it for 9 and fit it so i can shoot both, but for some reason lately i cant shoot using a red dot anymore.....need to go back to regular sights
  6. very nice, love the cameron customs open guns....
  7. i prefer the m&p pro long slide, im pretty sure you can even get it from the factory with the red dot cut on the slide, unless you prefer the c-more style
  8. have used both of kimbers guide rods, never an issue with them. +1 on the drilling the small hole....works great
  9. a lot of companies use some form of this... melonite, salt bath nitriding, but the dan wesson duty coat is nice.....i had one of my 1911s engraved and nitrided and it is fine, no issues with any parts warping if the company who does it knows what they are doing
  10. had one for a little while, went back to my dawson fiber optic....
  11. i pretty sure svi front sight cut is 60 degrees x .300 x .060 deep kimber uses a 65 degrees x .330 x .075 deep
  12. i run fusion mags or wilsons..... i like the fusion mags better....
  13. the gun looks sweet, like the color
  14. ive been shooting my ranger II 9mm a lot lately, still waiting on mags from a few places, but the mags i ordered from fusion came in quick so i ordered more and they came in quick again and feed my ranger flawlessly...very happy with them
  15. like many have stated, the spartan has a non ramped barrel, and is assembled out of the us. has a bare front strap, but is an all around decent base 1911 for the money.....the trojan is a lot nicer of a gun if you can swing the price....has ramped barrel, checkering, all around better fit.....you wont be sorry with either.....
  16. almost any of my sti 2011's were finiky at some point with ammo, i usually polish the feed ramp and then tune my mags with the dawson kit and have no problems after that....
  17. i had a pc1911 and it was a decent gun, never an issue with the 80 series. but when i held the smith sw1911sc e series it felt 10 tmes better in my hand.......sold the pc and bought the e series.... would rather stay with 70 series...
  18. +1....... if not then go forged......but you can never go wrong with an sti
  19. i have the aftec in my comp gun, have regular extractors in the rest of my 1911's and never had a problem, but i still like the aftec.....eventually will put them in all my 1911's
  20. brazzo's ....definately..... customer service is great there.....
  21. its one of the svi infiniti triggers, theyre nice and interchangable....
  22. make sure its unloaded, remove the grips, pull the hammer back, pull on the safety on the side oposite the plunger tube and wiggle it while pulling and it should break free. some new ambi safeties are really tough when new.....just keep trying and it will eventully break free.
  23. the few metalform mags ive used have been flawless, theyre locally for me so i figured id give them a shot, were just as good as my wilson mags
