  1. I bring a back up to the bigger matches also. So far I have not needed it, but I've seen folks that had to use a back up on several occasions.
  2. I ran across a J frame S&W in 22 that would do that. The clearances were so tight that if any trash from the fired rounds got under the ejector star it would bind up. Keeping it free of excess lube under the star worked well on that revolver.
  3. I shot that one this past weekend for the first time. Managed to lose count and collect the penalty without any equipment problems.........
  4. Something else to consider, the barrel is over bored & Mossberg recommends against shooting slugs through it.
  5. I had the same issue on a new JM930. I cleaned the spring up with a needle file. On the mag tube I took the high spots off of the scratches with a poly sand kit. Annoying
  6. Truly excellent video!! Thanks for the link. I'm looking forward to the other segments.
  7. 9+1 but that's cause I bought all my mags before the tens came out..............and I'm cheap
  8. 2. Most mistakes are made before you shoot. 4. Shoot as if it's the last time you will. 6. Control your speed with your accuracy - not the opposite. 8. See the target behind the sights, not the sights in front of the target. I really like these ^
  9. It was stated on the back Mossberg package that had the "modified" flush choke in it. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
  10. I'm curious about the no slugs statement. Was that for the barrel itself or was it made about a specific choke?
  11. I've heard you can't run slugs in the 935 because it's overbored. Does anyone know for sure?
  12. Great match!!! Thanks to everyone that worked it.
  13. These are very lightweight polymer of some kind. They're .295 thick rather than the standard .250 and they are pretty inexpensive. Might be worth a look. http://strikeindustries.com/shop/index.php/pistol-enhancements/1911-pistol-grips-2/1911-extreme-pistol-grip-molded-golf-ball-dimple-pattern-semi-gloss.html
  14. Add one more to the shooters list. Lookin forward to a great match
  15. [quote name='DoubleA' timestamp='1311925950' post='1500336 However; never shoot with any form of expectation. Train your subconscious and let it do it's thing when the buzzer goes off. Whether it's consistently sucking or consistently tearing it up, if you can learn to fully release your subconscious to do the shooting, you will gain consistency. Δ This hits home for me, I don't think I have learned to release my subconscious every time. When I have a good run I know that I've allowed that to happen but, almost always there is one or two stages where I fail to do that and tank.
  16. I'm using the same basic load as you are. I crimp to .470 with good results.
  17. Look..........I already have fits trying to keep up with you two. If you're gonna bring out the high dollar stuff I need to start saving for a new Jennings or something
