  1. Ok, I think you answered your own question if you think about it. Why would he NOT do it at a big match if it was better? Big matches are about all the stages, not just one stage that you might be able to "nail" and win the match.
  2. ROFL!!! I acutally had one spring go down the stupid heater vent a night before a match. I tore apart the WHOLE room. Then Christine said, "what about the vent?", and I'm like no, it wouldn't go there, an hour later before I checked and guess what, it she was right
  3. The trigger bar mod is for post travel. The modified sear will take care of the take-up, but won't be the same as a full blown trigger, as there are lots of little things when you take it to that level.
  4. +1 My fastest splits on close targets are not double taps, ever. Sometimes when the vision is really working, after the stage is over I'll recall it didn't take very long to shoot a particular set of targets. Generally folks will be thinking I'm just pointing and shooting, but that isn't really what is happening. I try to convey that point. It is very important to know where the shots are going, it elliminates hesitation.
  5. Are you sure about that? Rumor is (from someone that lives here and is helping his getting settled in) that he is in my neck of the woods now
  6. No eye protection, no ear protection, no ejected casings I can see... He is either deaf AND dumb or a prankster
  7. Sorry, basic pistol shooting. He is looking for a basic instructor that will give him a good (BE style) foundation. He doesn't want antiquated instruction. Not hardcore, but qualified. Kevin, do you want to give me your contact info scott@springerprecision.com Thanks
  8. We'll have sears, sear spring and trigger return springs VERY soon... If they sell, we'll tackle more parts.
  9. I have a good customer in the Bay Area in CA that wants to find a good shooting instructor. Any help woulld be appreciated. Thanks all ~ Scott
  10. "It's hard for NASCAR to police it, you know they can't write the rules fast enough, these guys are so smart they find a way around it." (regarding the equiptment rules) Sort of the way I feel about where USPSA is headed with some divisions.
  11. HUH? There is the powder check station after the powder drop and before the seating station.
  12. If you are like me, forever, or maybe until you get old and you can't see.
  13. We have a guy who has part of his left hand, shoot it and score it. He is gaining no advantage. This is a for fun sport.
  14. The standard sight competition sight I spec out is .100 wide that extra 42% wider is huge, especially at distance (ie plate rack at 25-40 yards.)
  15. I sell lots of them, and I don't like them for competition shooting. The fibers can not be replaced, so when they get dirty, which they will, they will not be nearly as bright as new. They are wide too, but they are fine for carry and "house use."
  16. Dang you guys, I couldn't resist and dropped 5 bills... Nice set-up Kal!
  17. Triggers are pretty straight forward on the Tangfolio's.
  18. Stalked a deer into a fence once, never saw it (just heard it) until I found it stuck in the fence with 4 broken legs. :( It sucked to have to put it down AND let it lay for fear of retribution.
  19. Yep. Don't think, just do. Keep your shoulders out of the way buddy and stay cool, watch the sights and follow through.
  20. My Elite Match is single sided safety.
  21. Mill is half the price, you will need about as much or more for tools to support it.
