  1. I don't think she would like one of my t-shirts, they are pretty well worn, but I could send her one
  2. My rule of thumb is as light as you can go where you can draw and prep the trigger without having a round go off unintentionally.
  3. Let me see if I can make it simpler. It is not technique, minor timing issues, ect. It is physics. Given the gun will recoil, the heavier bullet will leave the barrel later than the faster bullet, thus it will have a slightly higher initial trajectory when it leaves the barrel. The slide will also be a bit further back, meaning there is more force on the recoil spring than the faster lighter bullet. That means it SHOULD impact higher on the target. Since the barrel has a twist to spin the bullet, the torque created by the two bullets twisting in the barrel are not equal either, thus the lateral shift SHOULD be expected. Now add in the fact that different weight and shaped bullets will stabilize at different velocities, and you should NOT expect the same impact point for ammunition with different bullet weights, shapes, and velocities. I would NOT suggest trying to change technique, just adjust your sights.
  4. Nice. Do you mind if we post the photo to our customer gallery?
  5. We got all back orders out yesterday and they we are in stock again.
  6. Thanks for letting us know they work
  7. Really, what would you need that is not available? I didn't say that there was anything that you would need that isn't available. But there are fewer options. For example magwells. For a Glock you could get an SJC, Carver, Dawson, Zev, JP, or others. For an XDm you could get a Dawson, pistol gear or canyon creek. At least those are the only ones I know of. OP: If you get an XDm then send it to Loves2Shoot. Springer Precision triggers are the best you can get for an XD. When i was doing my research people were saying they liked them as much as 1911/2011 triggers. Ok, when you said few accessories available, it sounded like you may not be aware that there is most anything you would need. Many of the people in the XDM aftermarket don't duplicate parts because it isn't a huge market and we communicate. The Glock after market has a 20 year head start, so there are a lot more players there

  9. This last batch has been at anodizing for over a week, so they should be back any day.
  10. I wouldn't overanalyze what someone who has been competing at the top for 20+ years does. I'd be more interested in how Rob trained when he was getting started and still improving quickly. I also suspect that there may be some individual differences. For me personally, switching often is *proven* to slow my progress down. I'm not sure that occasionally dabbling in another division while still focusing on one would have the same effect. Read Brian's book, he explains it. I know I didn't have big improvements until I shot other divisions, but that was just my experience. Read it. I don't think he was talking about switching back and forth frequently. I think everyone agrees there can be some benefits to concentrating on a different division for a period of time. Shooting 2-3 different divisions every month, not helpful imho. That was my original post.

  12. Shooting different guns can give you different experiences. If you shoot ONLY Production, you might get caught over aiming, where if you ONLY shoot Limited or Open, you might not aim enough. It really depends on the individual. Look at Rob L., last year he finished in the top 4 and 5 majors in different divisions. Would he maybe have one one if he only shot one gun, perhaps, is he a better shooter knowing how to shoot all those guns at that level, my vote is yes. What might hurt your scores in the short term, might just end up making you a better shooter in the long run.
  13. I got one in today, and this one is by no means, loose or rough. I was surprised how tight the fit is and it smooth, and the trigger is decent. The magwell is cheesy, but for the price if it shoots, it would be a good starter gun, much like the Spartan line from STI.
  14. They can't treat it differently than any other package by law as far as marking the package. I've been told it has more to do with the security of how they process next day versus ground shipments. If you have a local common carrier that will make a shipment, they can make their own rules.
  15. djcanter, both UPS and FedEx require next day shipping unless you have an agreement with them (ie. you do a ton of shipping with them.)
  16. http://springerprecision.com/ionbond.php Yes, we do a lot of it. We carry the full H-series line.
  17. Anytime you ship the frame, the ATF considers it a pistol, and you need to use a common carrier next day or a FFL to ship it USPS to obey the law. They care not if it is working or not, only if the package includes a frame.
  18. You can send it to us There are good applicators all over, but I would suggest sending it to one who specifically does firearms. Cerakote has a lot of applications outside of firearms.
  19. As far as you can possibly go every component. You DO NOT want a coating shop worker to trying to take it apart. The coating won't hurt the inside of the barrel or go very far down the bore.
