  1. It absoluetly rocks, I just got mine this week and finished the first match using it, and it is hand down better than any other timer I've used, and I know Im just sratching the surface of what it can do. As an ro I just hung it around my neck and the weight was nothing. I didn't misplace it once. The buttons are easy to use and the display has everything you need. I really like the just charge it and use it, I've spent so much in 9V batteries over the years.
  2. Eletronic ear muffs (with plugs), and keep your eyes open. If you try to see it, eventually you will.
  3. I have a template for some easy to make mag pouches if you want Roby...
  4. Lisa Munson had the same "gift" at the Single Stack Championship in Albany, it was painful to watch. Keep your chin up.
  5. OK if you want to buy one, check out the classifieds... I broke down and bought one from Chuck at Shooters Connection and then what do you know, I have a student show up and give me one a day later as a gift for getting them into the next class. It just showed up today so, $125 and I'll ship it to your door. These things rock, I just don't need 2.
  6. Fobus sucksssss, if you want cheap go Uncle Mikes, if you want good go Blade Tech. Mag pouches, I use my CR Speed for everything.
  7. I have 6 and I'll give you $15 for your junk one... The 1050 takes a bit to learn, but reloading on it, well
  8. Alumimum oxide powder (Brownells). Epoxy first, sprinkle on the grit.
  9. Just wait until you get them tuned then they start getting spendy.
  10. No so much the caliber as the action. 9mm is a disadvantage because it scores minor ONLY in Limited or L10, and since it is a single action model 226 it can not compete in production. Your best bet would be to either compete with what you have and buy 10 round mags for the .45 OR get a Production gun (XD, Glock, SIG 226, Berreta 92, ect) and shoot cheap 9mm's in production until you get the hang of it. More guns is generally better right?
  11. Rule Book here You could shoot them in L10 (the Sig would be minor) and you would need 10 round mags for the .45. The .45 is not SS legal, and the single action Sig is not production legal.
  12. I know you can get sub 1 lb trigger pull with a 17lb spring. I agree with the above post also.
  13. ISMI 17# is reliable http://shootersconnection.com/store/produc...products_id=179
  14. I used a big rubberband, but I think I will use a .38 shell now Thanks Shred.
  15. Melted my C-more mount on my open gun once...
  16. You can grab the mag from the holder in less than the time it takes for the old mag to fall out, so praticing the reload until you can do this sound like a "smarter" idea to me.
  17. Ex-boy scouts. I generally always have a knife, they are handy. Be prepared.
  18. All wrong, NOT, you said what I said
  19. Find out in practice what is required to get an A. Do no more and no less. Since I'm going to start shooting more production I know I am going to need more A's, Here is my first attempt at changing to the production mindset.
  20. ps. I just shoot left to right because I load better transitioning to the right and the F target is the easiest in the array to transition too.
  21. Really? Holy Cow, who's product? That is just poor QC IMO. Find a new bullet manufacture... if you didn't have 10 cases of the garbage. Now you need to call them and be nice and give them a chance to make it right. That is unacceptable in my book. I got a piece stuck in my frame once from some hp's I tumbled, it locked it up so tight it took an hour to get it apart.
  22. The cheapest/easiest way is to tumble your brass BEFORE loading it and not after
  23. If it is a reload required I shoot it cba, fed because it flows better for me. If I'm moving out I shoot the side in the direction I'm moving too last. I would rather end up leaning a bit reather than standing if I have to move.
