  1. That is awesome! I will have to remember that one. I tend to pick my shooting positions, quietly count and declare my reloads.
  2. Gosh...I draw my gun probably 600 times a day, and have never lost a fiber optic. Me thinks the installation is to blame, and not the sights themselves. The ol' lighter trick has done the job just fine for me. Yea, I could not believe it either. I think he was using a holster that did not have a good channel cut for the sigts.
  3. Sweet! Al's Colt Compact from Heat. There are several neat pieces there.
  4. Thanks for the heads up. I am always looking for a good gunflick, but this one looked questionable.
  5. It was better to see accurate magazine capacity, compared to some movies that show 20 rounds from a 1911 without a reload or 3 rounds fired from a Glock, then slidelock.
  6. The .40 and .357 Sig are the same, but the 9mm is a different number. I guess it has to do with the case size. It also depends on how old the extractor is. They changed the angle of the ejection port at some point. The older ports were at a 90 degree cut and the newer extractors will not work with them and vice versa.
  7. At a major match, it should be a FTDR, especially Nationals. We had a guy show up at our club with cleats - he was a USPSA shooter and it was his first IDPA match. We politely informed him of the rules but still let him shoot without penalty, because he had no other shoes with him.
  8. I have seen a Dawson front sight fail 3 times. First was on a draw - fiber optic rod broke. Seond was hit on a barricade and the fiber optic rod broke as well. Third was on a stage where the shooter started with a front sight, and ended without it. I guess it worked its way loose. I have Dawson's in my G34 and G35 and have had no problems yet.
  9. I just ordered a set of Blackhawk knee pads. I am interested to see how they look.
  10. Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
  11. Big +1 on their customer service. I have sent back 9mm mags that were giving me feeding problems - all were reworked and run fine now. Then I sent back a G24C slide for the areas around the barrel peening- the areas were repaired and all internal parts were replaced.
  12. I have never used them, but the feedback listed on Midwayusa is good. I keep saying I am going to buy a few and give them a try, but never have.
  13. I have a Lone Wolf for my G35 and have been very happy with it. My only complaint is the goofy wolf logo on top. I wish it was not as pronounced.
  14. I think I spoke with the same guy before. Very sharp with his answers. My question was a stupid one though. I am embarrased to even say what it was.
  15. Same problem and solution here. I was getting about 75-100 per 500 in .40 S&W before I got a Lee crimp die. Now I have one for each caliber I load on my 550B.
  16. A guy at my local club modified one of the non rolling types with some zip ties. It works ok. Our range is dirt/rocks. One round gave him problems - can't remember if it was .40, .45 or 9mm though.
  17. I have 2 vests: a thin SigTac vest when it is very hot and a thicker 5.11 vest for normal matches. I use the outer shell from my Columbia ski jacket when it is very cold.
  18. I am partial to Dawson Precision fiber optic front with Heinie rear.
  19. This proves how hard it is to win a National Championship out of the SEC. It is a tough conference.
  20. Welcome, what & where do you shoot? I mostly shoot IDPA - I am a sharpshooter in SSP - I usually run a Glock 22 or 35. I have been shooting IDPA for 2 years now. Just started helping setup and run the matches at my local club. I just started to shoot a little USPSA, and there, I usually just use my IDPA gear in Limited or Limited 10. Most matches I attend are in the Central Arkansas area with occasional trips to Mississippi and Texas.
  21. What should a used CR Speed rig sell for? It is a WSMII with 4 pouches and a belt in size 38. I really don't know much about these. Thanks!
  22. Just joined here as well. I shoot IDPA and USPSA at the local clubs. Looking forward to learing alot here!
