  1. Here is mine, Quarter Circle 10 Glock lower, Nordic slick upper, Nordic Handguard
  2. I found out I have to load the new grooveless BBI 147s to 1.075-1.08 to get them to plunk/spin in my Shadows.
  3. Automatic Accuracy built Aussie SP-01 Shadow Arcteryx hat with "Death Mechanic" patch.
  4. I have a 9mmAR that uses Glock mags. I use my regular USPSA PRD loads, but I have run some 9mm Major Glock loads out of it(specs unknown). I have two minor loads one for practice and one for matches. My practice load is 3.7 WSF, match load is 3.3 N320, with 147 BBI both at 1.135OAL. Running a Carbine buffer spring and 5.5oz colt buffer the gun ran great, little harsh though. I put a JP .308 carbine buffer spring behind the 5.5oz buffer, the gun still ran great and smoother. I just added a JP 9mm SCS and the had a few failures to eject at first but that seems to have cleared up. I do notice however that sometimes brass seems to just dribble out of the gun. Haven't shot it with the SCS enough to claim the problem is totally cleared up. My match loads run about 915fps out of my SP-01 and close to 1100fps out of my 16" upper. I have a 7" upper that I havent chronoed or used with the SCS yet. The only time I ran the 9mm Major out of it was with the 308/5.5 combo, gun was quite harsh, but ran fine. I have some left over to try with the SCS.
  5. FWIW I can't tell you how many thousands of BBI 147s I have loaded at 1.140 and 1.135 in my two SP-01 Shadows without issue. This was using the old molly BBIs and the newer hi tek coating. I just ordered up my first case of the newest grooveless hi tek BBIs so I can't speak to those yet. The reason I ended up backing down to 1.135 was because 1.140 seemed to be on the edge of what my guns will take and 1.135 seem to give a little safety when you get rounds off the press that end up a little longer than you would like when using mixed brass.
  6. I have the standard 9mm Hundo and love it. Its a little bit tighter than my Dillon gauge. Everything that passes the Dillon works in both my unaltered CZs. I normally Hundo everything, then the ones that dont pass the Hundo get a last chance with the Dillon.
  7. No needs to adjust your mash. The problem is actually pushing so far down that the other side of the mag release is rubbing against the left side of your magazine and causing it to not fall. You can confirm this by examining the left side is your magazines for wear marks from the wrong side of your mag release. Also, take off your slide and look down the magazine well from the top while you depress the magazine release. You will likely see the other side of the mag release protruding into the mag well when you have the release fully depressed. Make a note of how far it protrudes in, better yet reach in worth a marker and color it. Then remove your mag release, break out the dremel, and remove the extra material. I will never be a problem again regardless of how hard you push it. Just what I did, plus I bent the spring.
  8. I just switched to the nickel coated CZ mags(Mecgar as far as I can tell). They are just a little wider than the my old mags and I had sticking issues from overpressing the button. I bent the spring and took some material off the the mag release. Problem solved.
  9. Kidding, hence the Here is a cryptic answer to all the questions concerning retrofitting existing legal CZs to Accu status: It's a good thing CZC doesn't mark "factory" Accu Shadows as such...
  10. USPSA rules allow for a Production legal pistol to have the sights changed. Milling is allowed. Cryptic
  11. Sometimes it feels like I am stuck in B class, I dryfire most days and during the good weather months I hit the range once a week. I have been using Ben's books as well as what I can remember from taking a class with him to improve. After watching the new offering from Ben I think I might have missed/forgot some important points. Now with the video in hand as well as the books(which work together) I feel the path is a little more clear. Being able to watch a skills progression from.. 1.being a new technique to 2. locking it in it dryfire to 3. confirming it in live fire(or not) to the final step of 4.using it in a match setting struck a cord with me. I never really saw my training as being that linear, more like individual things I was doing here and there that I thought was going to make me better. I can really see now that training has to be a system of checks/balances, I was missing out on that. I will say one of my favorite things about the video it watching how shooters of different skill levels make the system work, other DVDs I have watched have made me feel like getting good was almost out of reach because the skill level of the person demonstrating was so much better than I am. Anyways, I just wanted to drop this new way of thinking of mine/DVD review here in hopes of hearing from others if it sounds like maybe now I am steering a little more in the right direction. 12. Looking to buy an Optivisor for gun work. What are you liking for magnification?
  13. FWIW, what I have been told is that its a CZ factory(not CZ Custom) CZ 75 Pre B part.
  14. Hmm I have been told shooter passed through Chrono at Nationals today with an OSS, no bump to Open...
  15. Is the Taurus 24/7 OSS legal(USPSA PRD)? From the PRD gun list: From what I understand(correct me if I am wrong) the OSS has both a safety and a decocker, how does that fit the listing? Taurus lists the OSS at 32.5oz. The OSS has a longer barrel and slide than a "normal" 24/7 like a G34 vs G17 which are listed as different guns, why are these not listed like that?
  16. Same here, saw them at the last minute. Tried to replan the stage at "Make ready" It ended badly.
  17. Stock 18rd SP-01 Mags, Ghost pouches, bullet nose out. It was a tight fit in the USPSA box at A7 with a HAJO rear sight. A guy from my local club runs the same gun and mags, but must have a really tall rear sight. It would no fit the box. Welcome to Open Next year I will be running the nickle plated mags from CZC and DAA Race Masters
  18. The bacon, don't forget about the bacon! Thanks to all that worked hard to make this match happen. Oh, and BACON!
