  1. I use a Lee Factory Crimp Die in every toolhead that I have for pistol calibers. Lead or jacket it works great for everything.
  2. I chose to leave mine on the machine because it seems to slightly annoy my wife, most of the time I reload and she is not home. But sometimes after a good argument its okay to leave the gun room door open and load a couple hundred rounds on the 1050 for effect!!
  3. Did someone forget to put the tube on the hopper before they poured in the shot?
  4. Thanks guys. I may just try some over the winter when I get bored and find out what the result will be.
  5. I was just wondering if any of you guys that have Dillon SL 900 presses have had good luck with the high strength Winchester AA hulls. Mine loads the old compression formed AA hulls like a champ but eventually I will run out. I have a few of the newer hulls around and I was wondering if I will be able to load them or if I should just switch to the Remington STS hulls now and save myself the pain of even trying. Thanks
  6. I just throw my cases into the case feeder and Hit them with a couple pumps from the Dillon case lube. Seems to work great!
  7. Thanks guys! Looks like Briley's it is!
  8. I would like to send my Mossberg 590A1 out to have it bored for remchokes. Who do you guys recomend for this work. I am looking for quality not cost. Thanks
  9. I would say go for the 650. I would also get a primer system extra so you can switch from small to large faster. just my 2 cents I have one of each and love them both.
  10. I would say yes! I only use mine for about 6 hours per season. But I would not trade it, and that is say something...... I can't keep anything for more than a month!
  11. I have been using Dillon presses for about 10 years. I have about 6. The best money can buy hands down. But untill tonight I have not had a 1050. I got offered a deal I could not refuse, so a Super 1050 in 45 acp found it's way on to my bench. Holy CRAP I have been missing out on life! This is the most user friendly and fastest reloading machine I have ever used. Now I just need about 6 caliber conversions and a couple ten thousand more bullets. Cheers
  12. My current plate is " LOADED " on a 94 F150. My old plate was "SW1911" . Costs about 35 per year extra to have the plate.
  13. I shoot 1872 repros in 44 spec using 20 grains of black powder over 200 grain bullet. And an 1892 rossi reproduction in 44 mag with 30 grains of black powder and 200 grain bullet. And brass 12 gauge shells 70 grains of black power and 1 ounce in an eighth of shot. Lots of smoke and sparks couldn't be more fun. Although I really don't care for dressing up. My father is 65 years old and likes old antique stuff so its right up his alley. It is something we can do together without any arguments. It is some of the most fun I have all year.
  14. I have a couple of 650's would not sell or trade. A friend bought a LNL and only used it once. Also I think The Hornady powder system looks like it could be made to work on a Dillon 650 with some tweakin.
  15. I have a 625-4 5" revolver that I have decided to shoot this year in USPSA.This gun had only 100 rounds fired when I got it and a sweet action job already. I would like to have the cylinders chamfered by a pro. Who is good at this and reasonably priced. Thanks
  16. I this a "NEW" NEW system or the same "NEW" system that has been out for a few years now??
  17. I have run over 25k through my 650 in the last 5 years with ZERO issues. Also several Thousand SR CCI as well.
  18. I have 4 550's I numbered my presses and labled the tool heads for each machine.
  19. I the same problem I found the end of the locator had a burr was kicking random brass. 2 seconds with a small file. prob solved.
  20. Thanks guy's. Looks like it's time to give Gary a call.
  21. Thanks but I am really looking more at die adjustment. I do realize I will need different locator buttons and shell plate. But I was kind of hoping that the dies would not need any adjustment. I use only Dillon presses and have several but I was just being cheap and lazy by asking the question before I bought the shell plate and tried it. Thanks
  22. As the title says I would like to use my existing 45 acp tool head and get a 45 auto rim shell plate. And do it with out adjusting anything. I know I could just Get the parts and try......but I figured someone has done this already done this and could save me the trouble. Thanks
  23. Thanks for the info guys. Merry Christmas to all.
