  10. Thanks for the info now another stupid question. how to tell what brand of mag these are! the look like sti mags but they dont have the center rib. I have determined that the base pads are arredondo they say p-140 on them. I dont think they are for this mag because the tube is almost 140mm by it self With the pad it is 3/4 of an inch longer. any thoughs thanks.
  11. I have been given the rare chance to try an open gun for a couple of weeks before I buy it. I have limited exp. with this type of gun. first the gun. It's an sv frame, caspian 5" stainless slide, barsto .355 38super barrel with a serendipity sl c-more. The ammo I was given is a mix of 38 super and 38 supercomp brass the gun runs both flawlessly. which is better? Next the mags(140mm) have funky plastic basepads that slide almost off the mags when you seat them and you can not put more than 22rds in them or they get stuck at the bottom. What can I do to fix this? lastly I want to get a big stick for this gun and have seen some of the other posts talking about mag interchangabilty. Which one do I want? any help you guys and gals have would be great ! Also any good loads for 125 zero bullets thanks??

  18. I have loaded .223 for volume on my 650 dillon for a while. But a friend has asked me to help him with some precision loads. This is an area where I have less experance. What should be done diffrently. Also what powders and/or primers do you guys recomend. 60grn V-max bullet. Thanks alot.
  19. Thanks for the info guys. I am glad to have found this forum. looks like its time to order more tool heads!!
  20. This may be a dumb question but here goes. I have a 650 dillon that I use for loading several diffrent calibers. I have used cci primers until now. I got a clark custom 686 smith that only shoots soft primers (federal) so I was going to add that caliber as well. I have read in the meantime that some people have had primer detonaiton with chain reaction due to the rotary primer feed on the 650 using federal primers. Is this somthing a careful reloader should worry about? I have several other presses I could use including a SDB. But I prefer to use the 650. Any insite would be helpful thanks.
