Nanci, the lenses are Optix 20-20's The stick on the glasss using only water. If there is a Walgreens nearby, they have them under their brand name. Jim, I'm using Decot glasses. For iron sights I have what my eye doctor referred to as a compromise. Sights are fairly sharp, distance is slightly blurry. Shooting bullseye, I use plain lenses for the dot. My vision at distance is still good. Arms are too short for reading though. The prescription lenses don't make distance too fuzzy, so I don't trip I like the Decots because the lenses are easily interchangeable, and they'll grind the lenses with the optical center offset for shooting. No, they don't look Racy, but, they help me see. Hey Dan...Thanks for the info...I'll be checking with Walgreens soon. ~Nanci~

BTW, don't be fooled by those two, names can be mis-leading Hang on there Z, I feel compelled to defend these two... The terms, ladies and gentlemen, are not only part of a polite greeting but they are also used to identify people who display culture, dignity, courtesy and thoughtfulness. Welcome back... I too returned after a long break. (17 years) I still had my old Major 9 but the division changed so much it was outdated. (me too) We drive nearly 100 miles to shoot at our club. (2 hour drive) But it sure is worth it! I'm sooooo glad to be back. ~Nanci~

Hey JB, That whole "getting old" thing can get depressing. But, to me the vision part of it is the worst. I have pretty good far away vision but my close-up vision is useless without my reading glasses. This becomes a problem if I'm trying to read on the range...like score keeper. Switching between shooting glasses and reading glasses...it gets old. Someone told me about corrective lens/patches that stick on to your sunglasses but I've not found them yet. BTW...since I've switched over to an open gun, my arms are long enough to see the dot. ~Nanci~

Hey Micah, I think it's great thing that you have decided to expand your employment base. At some point we realize that we have reached a level of stagnant dead space...like when you're waiting for the swinger to come to that place where you want to shoot it...and you're thinking, man I am wasting so much time here. Anyway, your job as a juvenile counselor and getting a master's degree in mental health shows me that you care about people and you have a desire to help them. That is not real common in our world today. We need more people like you who want to reach out and help their fellow man. It is quite a virtue that I hold high. I am sure that whatever job you find you will be getting the "most valuable employee of the month" award. Good luck!

The librarian at our high school was fond of a certain punishment where you were required to stand with both arms straight out to the side with a big dictionary in each hand. And you had to stand for quite some time. It gave me really good upper body strength which helps in shooting. Thanks Sister

No the dog-house is not necessary at this time. Tequila makes most humans drunk...slurred language, happy-go-lucky, drooling, puking, crawling in the gutter. Not Jim. Last time he had too much tequila he explained Einsteins's Theory of Relativity and quantum physics in explicit and excruciating detail while we were lost driving around Mesa, AZ. Thats gonna leave a mark... The mega shotgun was quite impressive. My husband built a 50 BMG pistol...I never saw him drop it after shooting it. I never saw anyone else shoot it either. They all declined. ~Nanci~
