Y'all have given me a lot to think about and I appreciate your learned opinions. Jim and I are having so much fun getting back into the shooting sports...we had a blast at the Dust Devil Classic. We've met a bunch of really neat people. We continue to have fun on this forum with all of you and your comments. We joke around about all this stuff cuz it's part of the game. Jim would bend over backwards to get me whatever I ask for. Did I tell you about my 57 Chevy? Thanks again for all the info...I still have time to decide on the scope and lots to learn as well. Hey guys...thanks for all the help. I just talked to John Paul...what a super nice guy. He had one blue upper left...and it's mine. (yippee) I'm getting the JP CTR-02 with 18" barrel and the JP Big Comp. Still trying to decide on a scope...does anyone have experience with both the ACOG and Meopta and can tell me the pros and cons of each? BTW...Jim does not have to sell his kidney on eBay. But his ass is grass if he doesn't get to the shop and make some money. ~Nanci~

Ok everybody...I need some help here. You know my husband just bought me a new STI Trubor for Christmas and I really like it. Then, he bought me a JP1100 shotgun but it was setup for right-handed shooting so he's getting me a left-handed barrel for it. Now, I've convinced him to buy a JP upper for the rifle (blue annodized of course). But Benny Hill says it should have a scope that cost more than $800. The question is, how am I going to convince my husband to buy an $800 scope for my blue rifle? Any suggestions other than hanging him upside down until his wallet falls out would be greatly appreciated. ~Nanci~

I upgraded Jim's system to IE7 about a week ago. It has been acting weird ever since. The system hangs and will not even respond to ctrl/alt/del. Back in the day when New Mexico was becoming civilized and transformed from a territory to a state, the wise ranchers eradicated the wolf to protect their sheep, calves, and other livestock. Now, we are so much smarter in our modern thinking that we have reintroduced the wolf back into these areas where you are not allowed to protect your livestock from the wolves. If you harm one in any way, you will find yourself in Federal prison. I think the wolf is a beautiful and intelligent animal and has a place in the wild. But maybe not so near our communities and ranches. ps. However, after much thought, reintroducing the grizzly bear into the mainstream media, talk jocks and think tanks might be a wise use of natural resources. ~Nanci~

Hi Jane, I tried putting tape on the right lens of my glasses but that was too distracting. Sometimes I try to find the dot with my right eye and this screws up my shooting. Lately I've been turning my head a bit just to remind myself to use the left eye only. Not sure if this is a bad thing or not. ~Nanci~

I'm left eye dominant and use scotch tape on my right eye. I'm trying to decide if I should keep my tape on my right eye or take it off. I'm not sure I totally understand the Jo Jo trick.
