  1. Damn, I've been thinking about a prodigy as a backup gun and this kinda solidifies it
  2. Yeah I'd change the spring, I had to do the same thing in my 2011 to be able to run reloads for my shadow 2
  3. It seems like for me anyways, the more I try to focus on a small spot, the more likely I am to lose the fundamentals, dunno why but when I just point and shoot instinctively I do much better.
  4. I start as I normally would with a cocked hammer in my holster and between targets I just prep the trigger to where it would usually break but not actually press the shot until I get to a covered target to be sure my muzzle isnt moving
  5. There are plenty of options, everglades, black dot, atlanta arms all sell factory 9 major, but seemed easier and cheaper to load your own, plus you can tune the load to your setup
  6. What is the likelyhood that more powder got dropped into the hotter showing loads? I've initially had some issues with my dillion dumping a little more powder than needed
  7. this, I spent an hour messing with my sp01 a while ago to find out this was the problem, one of the spring legs had sprung out from under the trigger bar
  8. This is exactly my scenario, I only got into reloading because i have an open gun being built. I got a dillion 750 because i knew I'd want volume as soon as i figured everything out, a lot of cussing and whiskey later i was finally up and running. If I've learned anything, it's any sort of change, reconfirm everything. I started loading some 147s in 9 minor to play with and they are vastly different in seating than my 124s I was using
  9. Just got a double alpha flex and thus far really like it, haven't torture tested it accidentally but first few uses have me wondering why I didbt switch sooner
  10. I also have a shadow 2 that will plunk all the way out to 1.65, I had always heard that cz's had notoriously short Chambers even my sp01 plunks out to the 1.65, dunno why but I'll take it
  11. My brass varies quite a bit as well, I just found out what maximum OAL will plunk in my match guns and just stay under that. I've got rounds ranging from 1.162 all the way down to 1.135 and havent had a problem as of yet
  12. I've ran across a few MPAs in the wild and have yet to see anyone dissatisfied with it. They seem solid for the $$, the fit and finish on the couple I looked at are damn near impeccable
  13. Started with an eotech but found my aimpoint pro more accurate, I like the idea of the super long battery life and solid durability. I think the eotech was too busy if a reticle and liked the simplicity of a single dot
  14. that's a stroke of pure genius there, would've never thought of that
  15. Mine was having problems as well, come to find out I just had to move the op rod down a bit more to push the primer cup back far enough to reliably pick up the primer from the tube. After that it's been perfect
  16. That's about where I'm at too, I settled on 3.7 of TG, i was afraid that loading to 1.16 it wouldnt pass plunking considering cz's notorious short Chambers, but somehow it passed in all 3 czs in my safe
  17. Awesome, thank you everyone!
  18. Weber tactical or red hill also have hooded level 2 holsters, cant go wrong with either, my railed middy gun fits well in mine
  19. I had a similar issue as well, tried numerous different loads and red dots and garbage was still around 5in groups at 25 yards off a rest. Swapped the brand new barrel out for a slightly used one and problem went away. Insane to me a brand new anything could be the issue but it sure was
  20. Thank you everyone, being new to loading in 9 major spectrum my question is, why is it 7 grains of one powder and roughly 10 of another? I should add I'm pretty new to reloading in general as well
  21. I run a safariland els belt, I just got some snowboard binding, cut off the end of my belt that had the 2 posts for securing, then installed the washers and ratchet system, easy enough and seems to be holding up
  22. That's good to hear, thank you, sounds like aa7 is what I'll go with. Just needed a little confirmation on everything
  23. Thank you everyone, yeah itll most likely be 124 jhp, I'm the same, I'm looking to get a load that runs reliably but hangs around the 170-172 PF, this is a winter project I was actually looking forward to! The open gun will be a 2011, so im hoping I can stay around the 1.16 COAL area which is what ive been running for minor loads as well
