Prov1x
How is the prize table at SS-Nationals? Do you get anything better or more if you're shooting a Springfield pistol since they are the main match sponsor if you win your class? sperman
Does anyone have a rough idea of round count?
BritinUSA
Does anyone have a rough idea of round count? I have not seen a breakdown of the stages yet, but the 2011 Single Stack Nationals required a minimum of 212 rounds.
JakeMartens
They don't post the stages. 300 will easily get you thru as most stages are medium and short.

I have not seen a breakdown of the stages yet, but the 2011 Single Stack Nationals required a minimum of 212 rounds. 10-12 stages, max 24 rounds per stage, so 288 would be an absolute maximum and 200-250 more likely. If you show up with 350-400 rounds, you should be in great shape. BB

Corey
The stages aren't hard to figure out. There aren't any tricks or anything to any stages, just a straight up shooting match to see who can execute the best.
BritinUSA
This is why its one of the best matches in my opinion. All the equipment is essentially the same, most stages have only one good solution to them; So it comes down to a straight-up shooting contest. There are a couple of stages you can count on seeing: 1) Fixed time standards at 35 yards, possibly with a barricade and likely with a reload. 2) SHO/WHO at 10-15 yards 3) At least 1 all steel 20-24 round stage with multiple ports 4) At least 1 "house" stage that emphasizes strategy and forces awkward reloads 5) Short dark house stage (targets at 1-3 yards, low/no light, possibly with a flashlight) 6) Multiple speed shoots BB

BritinUSA
Almost.... I just need to get the travel arrangements sorted out, hotel etc. (I'll be there for 2-3 days), charge up the cameras, predefine some key pages on my web-site... oh, and try and get a new car. bbbean
Is it 25 yds or 35 yds? The past 3 years have had a standard that included strings at 35, 20, and 10 or so. That doesn't mean they couldn't back them up to 50 or go easy and move them all closer. BB ETA: I have nothing to do with designing the stages, and am not working the match. I'm just citing what I've seen the 3 years I've shot the match. Edited April 24, 2012 by bbbean
