Hammar
The book was awesome, hope the film can live up to it. Limited release for now. Trying to get it in my local theater.
Al Capizzo
I want to see it, but not enough to drive 100 miles to see it.
RobMoore
It was a book? I will have to put that on my list.
Jman
Same author (Cormac McCarthy) wrote No Country for Old Men. Jim
RobMoore
Oh, well I hope the book was better than the movie then, because I didn't like "No Country for Old Men". That gives me pause about getting this one.

gb32
He also wrote Blood Meridian, which is my favorite book of all time. A must read for western fans.
00bullitt
Maybe its just me but the writing style of The Road was horrible. It just drove me crazy to the point I didn't read but half the book.

Funny, my girlfriend said exactly the same thing, almost word for word, about No Country for Old Men. She's a voracious reader, so if she abandoned a book it must be a really frustrating read. I am there with ya. I really never got past the first 20 pages or so, and I like to read! Apparently I need to give it another shot. Jack
richbug
I read the book last week. One of those books I couldn't put down, spellbinding. 4 hours and it was done. That being said if it doesn't thoroughly depress you, you might have some sort of social disorder and should probably seek professional help. furyalecto
The book was bleak as all get out. I am curious how well that will play out in the theatre if they stick with the story.
raz-0
The book was bleak as all get out. I am curious how well that will play out in the theatre if they stick with the story. I think the fact that it has been sitting on the shelf for about a year after post production was finished, and that it is only out in limited release should tell you something about how the bleakness is affecting it's marketability.
