A guy I work with has one and is asking $475. I told him I would think about it. So with your help, I'm thinking about it. I am not a revolver guy except for a small carry gun but I thought this might be a good house gun? Thoughts? Thanks

FWIW I just paid $300 for a 10-8. That was out the door after sales tax and DROS fees. The sticker on the gun was $250. Now this one was a little beat up but very tight. Neglected but probably not shot alot. I had been shopping for one for awhile, a shooter not a collection piece. It was a good price for CA, don't know about anywhere else. I've seen pristine examples going for $400 to $500 these last few months. I'm sure in other more friendly states the used gun market is a little better, I was happy to find one locallly. By that I mean importing a handgun into CA is a little troublesome and alot of ffls won't do it, kinda drives up the price on the stuff that's here.

Hope this helps

The Police Trade in 64's are 300 or so. 475 for a 10 it should be one thats perfect intended to be collected not shot. I paid what I thought was high dollar for a 67 last year, Unfired first change model 67 no dash. 475 landed including transfer fees and shipping

Yikes. I just sold a used Model 10 for $110

Guns are like real estate.. "location, location, location."

M10's were a dime a dozen around here for ages. When the NYPD switched from revolvers to autos you couldn't give a model 10 away. Gun stores were paying $50 tops for them. Now, many years later, ugly ones can still be had for $150 without having to look too hard.

Yep, my model 10 (LOVE IT- 3rd fave gun: 625, then 617 10-shot, then 10) is a pencil bbl, ex-PD gun (blue worn, outside of grip banged up from wearing in cars, etc.). Cleaned up the action a little bit by handing it off to Round Gun Shooter, and it's a heck of a shooter. TIGHT, clean rifling, great condition other than above...

Paid $120 in Massachusetts...through a dealer. $475 is a LOT of dough for one of these (unless a collector piece or location driven price, but others have said the same).
