joecichlid
I have to get a new case for my C-More and have been thinking about changing the color of it. Right now I am running a black one but have been thinking about a blue one and now that I HAVE to get a new case it would be a good time to change the color (at no additional charge). The thing that has been in my mind about it is: Does a C-More in a color other than black destract you or cause any glare issues as you shoot? Thanks in advance. Joe W. G-ManBart
Mine are all black, but I've shot guns with blue, gray and red and didn't notice any glare issues...and it's pretty darned sunny here most of the time. I wouldn't worry about it other than the fact that colored scopes are for girls (just kidding!)
ExtremeShot
I have a red one that makes me shoot really fast...er at least I think it does.
joecichlid
Interesting. Thanks for the input guys. Right now I am either going to stay black or switch to a blue body. Just something about the blue. Although a red one would fit in with the colors of the STI shirts. Joe W.
PJ BAD
I forgot when I voted I also have one in Grey. The color makes no difference with regard to glare, it just ups the bling factor.
AWLAZS
I thought I heard the colors were not as rugged around the frame mount screws holes.????
matt2ace
I have shot black and grey with no difference visually. I like the look of the blue, but it was out of stock the last time I purchased one from SC.
joecichlid
AWLAZS, I run a slide ride on an Allchin mount so that shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully I will settle on a color tonight so I can ship off my C-More to be repaired in the morning. lol Joe W.

Even though you are supposed to be concentrating on the dot and target; the grey distracting me some and I went back to black. I like a black slide as well. cybrosh
Love Grey and never distracted me.
XRe
I find that the grey C-More is less visually distracting for me (in that the scope doesn't seem to be as subjectively apparent in the sight picture), and is actually my preferred color. However, color seems to have little effect on objective performance for me. Definitely seems to be no difference in glare, etc.
Gregory_k
Black, more cost effective.
joecichlid
Lots of great information, thanks everyone for your input. I think it will either be black or blue, leaning towards blue since few people seem to use it. C-More is ready to be boxed up as soon as I nail down the color I want then it will be off to repair in the morning. Joe W.
joecichlid
Well I am commited now (or should be). LOL Shipped off my damaged C-More this morning and asked for a Blue body but if they were out to just put in a Black one. Either way I am sure I will be more than happy. Joe W. LadyinBlue
I don't what color your grip is but here's what the blue C-More looks like with a blue grip. This is before my gun was modified several times.
joecichlid
LadyinBlue, here is mine shortly after I got it. Since I took these photos I have put about 16,000 rounds through it, replaced the thumb safeties, slide stop, stippled the grip and now replaced the black C-More with a blue one (well when it gets returned hopefully it will be blue) lol When I get the C-More back and reinstalled I will shoot some new photos. For a blued gun it is holding up pretty well, not a lot of wear accept around the muzzle where the cup of my holster holds it. Now that I think about it, it has been a mighty long time since I have shot any gun porn photos, it is about time for some new ones, hopefully more creative this time. Joe W. SkyScrapin
Black Cmore here. You guys have me jealous that you have more than one gun to put different optics on. Edited June 2, 2009 by SkyScrapin

HSMITH
Red and black are all I have used enough to comment on, I never see the scope and it makes no difference....
joecichlid
HSMITH, I think you nailed it on the head there. After reading another thread about what the shooter sees I started thinking about it in detail. The only thing I really see is the target, the red bouncy ball, every now and again some muzzle flash if it is dark on the bay and that is pretty much it. When I get back from Alaska hopefully my repaired dot will be back and I will have to do some testing. Joe W.
MoNsTeR
0 votes for OD Green... Having never actually seen one, and noting that most dealers don't even purport to carry it, I'm beginning to doubt they exist!
