Alan,

I did a whois and then pointed nslookup at the ssc and with the DNS in the whois and got this:

Uhhhh...........dude the 2008 SSC is over....sorry.

You know it is not nice picking on us old farts, we have ways of getting even. You keep up the old fart bashing and I will have a bus load of AARP reps park outside your front door, the smell of Icy Hot will overwhelm you.

Bring'em on....and don't forget the doughnuts.

Alan,

I had a though this moring during my workout. You said you could not ping the SSC IP? Is there some IP blocking going on somewhere? Perhaps your service provider is protecting you :angry2:

Glad to help!

From what has been found out so far. Comcast has blocked the site for some reason. It should be fixed within the next 24 hours.

Actually that was me who said that not Tom.

Yes, there is mud there.

Have a look see for your own self.

I'm sure whoever had to clean up the lobby of the match hotel that night figured out there is mud at PASA too.

That was nothing....friday was worse. Russ and I hauled 2 loads of sand gravel to put down on several bays. Better than that gerbel bedding crap.

That sir, is NOT the kind of mud there is in Tulsa..... I say that because you can still SEE the fault lines and they are still bright orange on the stage you showed....

In Tulsa, it was hard to FIND the fault lines....

Yes, there is mud there.

You call that mud?!!!

Obviously you weren't in Tulsa the last two years, because if you were, you would no longer call that "mud".

Yeah, ya guys done good!

I do remember seeing Russel out there with a shovel trying to get some of the water to drain away on at least one of the bays.

For those of you new guys following along who haven't been to PASA before and are thinking about shooting the Single Stack Nat's, it's really like maybe 2 or 3 bays on the upper half that don't have pea gravel.

Nike land sharks are relatively cheap at about $30. I'm just saying it would be cheap insurance to bring along an extra pair. That's all.

Down below, there is pea gravel in the bays, so mud and/or drainage isn't a problem down there.

Whoever they got that pea gravel from did a really great job at sorting it for size. It is perfect as far as separating it from the brass. If I was gonna RO this year, I'd bring a transfer shovel, a kitty litter sifter pan, and several 5 gallon buckets to whore up the brass with. ;)

I have seen the pictures in Front Sight magazine of the past Nat's at Oklahoma. Floating mulch is NOT a good sign. :surprise:

$200 is a $75 jump from last year isnt it?

and now two days, and still no prize table.

I think Ill gear up to shoot some idpa early this year.

I honestly dont think the match will fill up.

No prize table but every shooter does get a nice gift just for showing up. In the past they have received a Surefire flashlight the next year a really cool Kershaw knife and last year a really cool cleaning kit. Isn't that better then a prize table where you get a package of springs or some shock buffs. If I remember right Springfield gave away about 20 guns. Plus we are still the Nationals with the lowest entry fee.
