  1. Despite their expression, Quigley and Jeb are happy for Kimber.
  2. February 25th Atty General Holder's briefing. watch until 20:16. 2-gun match anyone?
  3. I don't think it has a PF You set your Phaser for "kill" and then hit A, B, C or D and the target is dead. Should be scored like a popper.
  4. Right on the first question, incorrect on the second. Any AR or Pistol can be run in Open. Same if you have an Open AR, it forces you to shoot Open regardless of your Pistol or Shotgun division.
  5. From the Advisory referenced in my previous post. Do TSA locks satisfy this? Why would you need to give the combo/key if it is a TSA lock?
  6. Nemo, I think it is worse. From the TSA Advisory And I read that to mean that you also have to put the mags in a "locked hard-sided container" And as XD mentioned, messenger slaying is a no-go...
  7. You have no idea. Every Saturday we go out to run our errands and she will often say, "Hey, let's go see Bill [owner of the local gun emporium]". Translation: Someone is coming home with a new toy! She likes fishing, camping, shooting and looks like a million bucks all the time... And no, she does not have any sisters.
  8. Conversation. She: "How much is a case of rifle ammo?" Me : "$xxx" She: "How many rounds?" Me : "500" She: "Sheesh, you need to reload."
  9. After shooting my AR and falling in love with it, my daughter got a new AR for Christmas and now she wants Dad to take her to some matches this summer. I am looking in VA, MD, PA and WV but I am having trouble finding Club Level matches where she can cut her teeth. Thanks,
  10. +1 Even if the Team Manager can avoid the pressure, there is almost zero chance of at least one vendor not pushing for their hired gun to be on the team. "Sorry Mike, you have to stay classified as a 'U', you haven't been selected yet."
  11. Sorry, I guess I got hit once too often in the helmet for resting the magazine on the ground. Never mind.
  12. Mike, What model Kimber is your pistol? Chuck, It is a Tactical Custom II (bone stock) in .45. I checked the Kimber site, and they show it as 31 ounces. I guess based on how it feels to me I was expecting my pea shooter to be closer in weight to the modified guns. Mike "Ignore the flailing of arms" Schramm Mike, Your gun has an alloy frame. The chubby guns mentioned above are steel framed. Later, Chuck Thanks Chuck.

  14. Gary, Your post made me run downstairs and pull out the Kitchen scale. My Kimber is 33.5 with a KimPro 8 round and 33.75 with a McCormick 10 round. Whew.
