Matt Cheely
Found this at a local gun shop. It was sitting against the back of the cabinet, rusting all over. Took a look at it and figured that I could bring it back to life. A little polishing, glass beads, and a dip in the bluing tank, and here she is. 8-3/8" barrel and now has a nearly one of a kind matte black finish. I know I'm not much of a revo guy in USPSA, but I still like them

JimmyZip
Man that is a cool looking pistol. How do you protect the front sight when you bead blast? That matte finish looks sweet. I think I might get something similar for my pistols when they get back from Barsto. (Which I'm told WILL be ready Wed. Finally!)
SharonAnne9x23
I have a 6" 686+ and I am always amazed at how long the 8 3/8" barrel looks. What did you pay for the 'rust bucket'? Is the action smooth?
Matt Cheely
$300 out the door. Trigger isn't bad, and hasn't been worked on at all yet. Single action is crisp thought. I don't plan on working on it, this will probably just be a deer gun for this year.

hopalong
Matt, You owe me $$$$ for using my propriatary finish. I had that finish on my 25-2 for 2 years now so I'm kicking your ARSE unless you pony up. Hop

kframe_mike
Nice find!I think you'll find that it'll be a real tack driver.Of the 3 586s in the family, all 3 are pretty darn accurate. What dash number is it and does it have an "M" stamped on the frame behind the crane?-Mike
