Handgun Control or the Brady group recently rated their gun control laws "F" rather than the previous "F-". There is some hope that Kentucky will get its minus back. I was at a Convoy Live Fire Exercise so I haven't even started change of command inventories. I also do not have a replacement but I have to be in SC by 3 June. The guy i hired to work with me in Shooters Connection retired 1 April from the Army. He lives in Lexington. What can we do to get an F-? Open Carry State Permit to Carry Concealed Recognize all other States Concealed Carry permits whether they recognize ours or not. No permit or license required to purchase or posses weapons or ammunition. Numerous firearm clubs including handguns, shotguns, rifles. Class III rentals available in several locations/ranges. What more do they want from us???? Oh, wait. I know what it was. I'm ashamed to admit this in public, but I know you all will understand. This messed up my plans to attend 2 day pistol class with Manny Bragg in Florida. Hopefully I will find out my new timeline soon and I can change my dates to the July class. I just ordered 10,000 rounds of ammo. I need to find somewhere to shoot them. glock17w Posted April 23, 2007 Author Share Posted April 23, 2007 Thanks for the list of shooting clubs. I think I will frequent KAPS, Wilmore, KY, and Memphis, IN the most. I will get a chance to shoot USPSA the most, a little bit of IDPA, and a little bit of Steel Challenge. I have the schedule out to December 2007. It will keep me occupied along with my new job. Now I just have to look for a place to live and new furniture. I think I have everything else covered. I will be doing alot of driving just to shoot. While the Land of the Morning Calm is not Iraq or Afghanistan, it's still not the US and since I've spent less than 6 months in the US in the last 3 years (including while in training) I've learned that when we get done with this deployment, I'm ETS'ing and going and staying home (i.e. in the US). Tony lives across the street from Curry who is still an active recruiter. I asked Tony what kind of assignment you could have in Lexington and he said recruiting.
