surfmaster
how much accurate arms number 7 does it take to make major?? Im at 8 pounds on the recoil spring an a shock buff and am not loading but 7.8 grains of HS6 with a 125... try 7625 and see if that helps... Harmon Harmon, I am using 10.3 grains of AA#7 to make 167 power factor here in sunny Hawaii. I also use the MG 124 CMJ and Federal SR primers. The load is very controllable at a 25 yard bulleye target. I have not yet used it in a match; I will do so next month and report back. I have been using 8.5 grains of HS-6 with the same bullet and primer combination. I will create more loads with HS-6 and experiment again. I did use 7625 with my previous 38 supercomp gun and I felt it was one of the softest powders around. I am afraid to use it with major 9mm, though. What's your powder charge with 7625 in major 9mm? Thanks.

I may try 7625 because I liked the feel in my former 38 supercomp. I use HS-6 and AA7 loaded to 1.175".

Steve RA
Try 4756 - a long time ago I shot a 17L Clock with 4756 @ the 175 Power Factor and it worked quite well. That was, of course, before 9mm Major was outlawed back then. Edited September 15, 2010 by Steve RA
