OSP737
Well, I just bought two thousand CCI Small Pistol Primers for $62 a thousand. That's far from the old price yet, but getting better.

K-Tex
I'm glad I don't shoot as much as most of you peeps, but would rather roll my own than buy most factory ammo. Yes, there's a fine line on range ammo pricing to rolling your own, but not near as much fun and relaxing. Most of my primer inventory is from pre-covid pricing and have bought some of those hard to find (well for me in the middle of nowhere) large rifle (magnum included) primers of mostly cci. Having to branch out and use (and find) fed, win and rem also. CCI being the only brand used in the past will cause me to do some work-up loads. Pistol primers might be easier to acquire, but still finding prices neat the 7 cent mark before shipping and hazmat. If you don't buy much the average goes up around 2 cents per or more. While I did pay 15 cents per for large magnum rifle that came out to be 17.6 cents/per made my 4 cents per go up. It can always be worse on prices, but paying $2+/per for rifle cartridges in the hunting section (some in match ammo also) can still be made cheaper than factory. Buying into a new cartridge (6.5prc) can be challenging if you leap before you look and not make sure you can find dies, brass and /or factory ammo for reloading. I was going in the direction of 6.5saum/4sgap, but the prc was easier to get. I was able to find factory 6.5prc ammo for $1.14/per which made the decision easier.
