ysrracer
Is it ok to use a drop of loctite on the front screw on the rear sight? Not the rear screw that adjusts height. Second question, what rear sight notch width are you guys using? I'm at .150 with a .100 front sight. Thoughts?
Toolguy
Some Loctite can help. that screw and the thumblatch nut can both work loose over time. I use blue, easy to take off if needed, but won't come loose on it's own. The factory front and rear are both .125 wide. I like the .125 rear with a .100 F/O front. It seems everyone has their own favorite formula.
pskys2
I like the .196" high x .125" wide factory RS and a .125" FO FS, usually a .250" high.
NoSteel
I use blue loctite on both as well as mark their positions with a dot of paint for reference..
PatJones
I'm currently using a .100 front and a .125 rear. I'm considering ordering a custom .115 rear from Hamilton Bowen
MWP
115 front and 100 rear over a 7” sight radius. Blue loctite on every visible screw and strain screw. Then I mark the screws. Edited April 12, 2021 by MWP
