AverageJoeShooting
So I have an m&p that I've done all sorts of stuff to and that I shoot open with. The only thing I havent done is install a compensator. So I was wondering what a good threaded barrel and compensator are for the 2.0 in 9mm? Do I have to run major in order for the compensator to work with 9mm?

K-Tex
I've run a 3 port from lone wolf. I still have factory trigger and recoil spring and don't do any competitions. It vents a lot of gas and depending on power factor a lighter spring might be needed?

Some_Dude_Who_Shoots
Parker Mountain machine makes one that works well, even with 115 grn ammo. They also typically post data showing actual results before and after with different ammo. Ive run one several times on the M&P and Love it. gnappi
I have a 5" M&P in .40 and I got a 5.45" carver threaded KKM .357 Sig barrel for it. I installed a steel "tanker" style comp, and debris coming from the sides makes it unusable indoors but the barrel is accurate, and I did not have to tweak my loads to get it to function. Recoil is minimal but whether the reduced recoil is by virtue of the ports or just the added weight, I can't say but whichever it is, muzzle rise is not much compared to shooting it without the comp.
