  1. 1. sideways holes drilled in the comp to eliminate the shake of the dot. 2. v6 v8 and v12 refers to a certain type of porting. v6 is 3 holes either side of the barrel, v8 is 4 holes either side. v12 is 4 holes on each side and 4 in front. 3. place a while target two inches in front of the muzzle. when you shoot it, it you see the target get blown upwards its too much gas coming out of the front of the barrel, meaning not enough gas is getting dispelled out of the popples and comp which means too much gas. the more gas the harder everything is going to be (ie slide hitting your hand etc) and the more your dot will bounce. That not necessarily a bad thing, because you should be looking for the perfect return to zero. if the dot bounces an inch but returns to the same spot as the first shot id almost say thats not bad because it means your follow up shot is going to be in close proximity to the first shot, which is what you want on paper. ideally, most people will work up their load, i usually load to 170 and then back it off a little to get around 168ish. Then you want to tune your recoil and mainspring so its relatively flat shooting but also returning to zero. if you use a slow motion camera from the side you can see exactly when the slide dips.
  2. ive been using them for 2 years now and still hear just as well as i did when i started
  3. can you imagine shooting a division where DA is even a thing
  4. Heres a collection of garbage stages at matches. Everything from slow target transition to terrible RO calls. its a one stop shop for what not to do during shooting The video on the last stage shows that the gun never broke 180, but you cant argue with dumbass RO calls
  5. the custom fit in ear axils. they are pricey but no need to double up and the miic works really well so you are hearing peoples actual voices
  6. Limcat, I just wish they would do long dust covers
  7. i wonder how anyone could shoot an S2 and want to willingly go back to a glock piece of plastic garbage?
  8. i agree i have one gun that i shot about 50k on last year with no issues and another open gun ive put 7200 on it this year with no issues use good mags and good ammo and you shouldn't have any issues. the only difference is that you have to actually pay attention when loading. it requires the bares of all minimum of efforts so thats why everyone thinks CO is easier, because they just dont want to put the effort in
  9. you just have to make sure your ammo isnt s#!t. after your ammo is squared away your gun will do its job
  10. pcc is the definition of an imposter division. a rifle at a pistol match has no place. 75 yard shots with a pistol take skill and practice. 75 yard shots with a 16 in rifle take nothing and you can clean texas stars or plate racks in no time.
  11. once you shoot open you realize all other divisions are just imposter divisions
  12. i actually like smaller matches. ive never shot a level 2 or 3 because i just dont care. i dont care where i rank, because lets face it, even if you have several gm titles its not like sponserships are going to magically appear. And as a professional shooter i really doubt id be making more than i am at my current job. Shooting is relaxing to me. i can still push and train specific things at a smaller match Most of the matches i shoot there might be one other open shooter. Most of my buddies at matches are all in other divisions. i think when you apply the concepts of say production shooting to open division you are left with a really strong idea of how to run the stage.
  13. shot a match over the weekend and had a blast. i think im was focused on going too fast. had more mics than i care to admit. did really well on the first string of the first classifier and had the only malfunction due to ammo of the entire match on the second string. couldnt get focused. new goal is to dryfire more until i can get it under wraps The Journey Continues...
  14. you got an older akai mount? i bought a newer version this year and it fit the ftp3 just fine
  15. ive used both in open and AA7 is way flatter. i do 9.3 grains AA7, 124 grain coated bullet gun is super flat
  16. Oh yea...all that is pretty awesome also. Funny when you shoot open that stuff just becomes natural and you don't even remember other divisions don't have it
  17. Got to shoot an awesome match at Low County Preserve. Was my first match in Master class. Won the division and placed 9th overall. Got to shoot with the local youtube megastar PopsQuest and a bunch of other really great guys. It was probably the most fun match I've ever shot just due to the great people on the squad. I came away with a solid idea of the things I need to work on so I can make the final push into GM glory The Journey Continues...
  18. exactly why i shoot open to separate myself from the paupers totally kidding of course, i think now a days the only advantage for open is major scoring
  19. i already backcharged the card, if they take 10 months to get to me, i can find other primers in that time
  20. well now theres a 404 from armadillo arms who was taking preorders on primers that were supposedly being shipped from canada. Im backcharging the charge on my card. these guys are just taking money
  21. any word from armadillo arms im starting to think about just cancelling the order if the primers take 8 months to get here im sure i can find others in that time
