Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Hello all! How many of you all have shot your Glock carry gun at matches? I’ve actually been toying around with the idea of shooting my Glock 48 all year at a match and now that my majors are done for the year, I’m going to be having my first match with it this weekend. I’ll be shooting prod and have my rig all set up. For those who have shot matches with their edc, what did you find out about your carry gun? How did the match go? Did you have any takeaways? Have a good one!
  2. From what I read on PS, it says itll be only be P, SS, L10, and Revo. I 100% understand that. If you are already on the fence about iron sighted guns, why spend money on a level 2 match and subject yourself to 40*F shooting weather lol
  3. I plan on shooting that next year, did you enjoy it? the two things i learned from dabbling in CO and then going back to irons was 1) it was much easier to have a harder target focus instead of the half target/ half FS picture that i had. 2) my indexing needed to be cleaner. a fiber optic front sight might look good vertically, but horizontally, it may be a smidge left or right. A lot easier to pick up on those flaws with a red dot
  4. What is your OAL for your 2011s usually? My CZ are at 1.095 to 1.10
  5. Buy once cry once mentality? I can see this. The atlas titan is the first pistol to actually draw my attention into the 2011 platform. Everything about that pistol just looks amazing and checks off a lot of boxes
  6. Jeez, I imagine that thing probably runs better than 85% of the limited guns out here. And I get that feeling. It’s like you hate seeing a great comp gun turn into a safe queen but would hate even more seeing it go to another person. i feel like if I were to shoot something like that, I would probably never go back to a 1911/2011 platform haha
  7. Hello all Big Blue lovers, If someone where to put a timeframe to dillons out of stock items, what would it be for those items? Like dies time frame vs accessories time frame vs press time frame. Maybe we can get a list together and keep it updated for those looking at purchasing parts through Dillons website
  8. I’ve only shot the tso, not the the ts. I’ll have to see if someone around has one that I can shoot. It’s going to be hard to change my mind about a 2011/1911 but definitely need to look into the ts. Thank you
  9. Thank you for your review! I’ll have to keep an eye out, the hardest part will be finding one that someone is selling
  10. It’s that constant battle inside your head. I played golf growing up, pretty competitively. Since I stopped, I missed that battle. Glad I found USPSA to give me that feeling back
  11. When you ease back on the strong hand, how do you still maintain wrist lock?
  12. I could have swore that I read that being one of the downsides to buying used STIs nowadays. I’ll look into it again, thank you for the heads up
  13. That’s smart, waiting till after the season ends to look for one. And thank your for that information. I’d have to say that’s pretty much where I’m leaning as of right now. Just want to see what other options there are at the moment
  14. Hello! I’m currently looking at getting a double stacked 1911 in 40 for limited division this next shooting season. I’m currently looking at used STI Edges because it hits my budget of under $2000. Before I pull the trigger on that, what other 2011 style pistols are selling for that price point? It freaks me out a little bit knowing that sti, now staccato, won’t do anything with those firearms and if any work is needed, it’ll all be third party. I know this has been a post on these forums before, but I’m trying to get a sense of what’s available currently in 2021. I also know that the TSO fits this price point, but really in love with the 1911 platform. Thanks!
