Adrenaline
Today tested 9 major loads in my kkm barrel g17 with carver 4 port comp. Wow..no pressure signs all the way up to 8.3 gr hs6 using 124gr montan gld fmj seated to 1.1550. 7.7 gr gave me 167 of. 8.3 gr hs6 was around 180pf but still ZERO pressure signs. I was timid about loading major and a bit timid to shoot them but with a fully supported chamber, no problem. Also tried silhouette and may like the recoil impulse a bit better but accuracy and fps was not as consistantly as hs6. Thanks.
Hi-Power Jack
Which primer are you using - some show "pressure signs" more readily than others.

Joe4d
anyone ever put an actual device that actually measures pressure rather than rely on Tea leaves and goat entrails readings to these common 9 major recipes ?

Yes, I've seen some actual pressure measurements here on BE - looks like you can get some low pressure from 3n38 at 9mm Major ...
