Siemens2
What dry fire drills do you run using full size USPSA targets indoors. Ordering scaled targets but looking for some drills for now.
perttime
There's lots of threads with dry fire drills here if you look around. With full size targets you just need full size distances too. You can print your own dryfire targets:
stick
What are you trying to work on? You can use the same dry fire drills indoors or outdoors. The size of the target only determines the distance you need to stand away from it.
Siemens2
I’m new to the sport so I’ve really only worked indoors on draws to a small point, and reload, sight align, repeat until out of mags. i appreciate the printable targets above. Thanks.
tdp88
I like using larger targets for shooting on the move. For entry and exit I usually use a half size but the full would work as well. I tried using the tiny targets I found that I wasn’t getting good reps because of target difficulty. I think you get more benefit out of larger targets when shooting on the move because it’s a little more realistic sight picture.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
blaese490
@Siemens2 if you provide what skill you're looking to work on I can send you a clip of a page/drill from the been stoeger Dry fire book. They have a lot of good drills in there. It's cheap enough that you should just buy it if you want to get serious with dry fire.
Siemens2
Appreciate it. Christmas came early. Dryfire reloaded, scaled USPSA targets, and some other items.
APL-G35
Ben stoeger dryfire book has great drills. If you don’t want to go that route why not just work your way thru simulating classifiers. Lots of gun handling with those.
rowdyb
I really like two things: 1. The different dry fire powerpoint things on Youtube. I can stand in front of the TV and get an easy 15 mins of good dry fire in with movement and reloads as well. 2. Dry fire banners. They have GSSF now, Steel Challenge, USPSA classifiers and ones that are basically stage arrays. I have some of the latter 3 and really dig them. The pic is of their new GSSF ones but it gives you an idea of what you'll see.
