Ben Stoeger
Ok 3 Targets, 2 Yards apart. 2 shots in each A zone. How long does this drill take you? Post division and class please.
Jake Di Vita
At what range? Start position? I did this at a local match classifier (2nd string of front sight) starting hands at sides in 1.7 I think. 7 or 10 yards. Open GM
j1b
Yeah, need a range in order to give you a good frame of reference.
BSeevers
OK Guys Freak him out. 5 yards vs 20 yards
Little Bill
I was messing around at practice and did several hands-at-sides, 10y versions of the above drill in 2.0-2.1 with an occasional Charlie or two. I know I could go faster, and I am waiting for my vision to catch up. ;^) I am B-Open for now.
Shooter Grrl
Did it today at 15yds in 2.8 seconds. I'm B-Open.
JD45
I'll remind y'all that Steve Anderson shot a drill like that faster than his own Bill drill time . Needless to say, he has above average transition times. The video is on his website.
Ben Stoeger
Whoops! I meant to say 7 yards. Hands at sides is fine for a start position.

Steve Anderson
Ben, It's more desire than discipline, although desire creates the discipline. Last night was a great example... I got done working about 8.30, put in some wifey-couch time during the American Idol results show...then my wife found Independence Day (the movie) and I wanted to sit there and relax so bad...then I found myself wondering if watching Will Smith blow up aliens would give me any edge over Mink, Sevigny and the 10 rd wonder boys at the production nats, or Max and the insane junior open mod squad at the open nats. I then decided that the time would be better spent downstairs. I put on the XD, set up the dry fire swinger... SA
D.carden
I'm a REVO speed freak!! REVO A-class M625-.45 1.83 sec, few C's Practicing last Sat I was able to break 3 shots in 1.18 sec (one target). Dont know if I can get any faster. I'll need some "wisdom" from JM. Steve, you're absolutely right about "desire". You got'ta want-it ( 100%) to get-it. Ben Stoeger
Steve, I practice in a room that has a TV. It doesn't help me concentrate at all, but it prevents any "conflicts of interest". Heheh
dirtypool40
for me, to answer the original question at 7y it's about like a bill drill, for me roughly 1.85. Actually I am just as fast at 10 and only .25 slower at 15y. What can I say I have a slow trigger finger. Lim / Stan "M" hoping to get my "Super Power" back and move towards "GM". Ben Stoeger
Yeah DP, I am in the same boat as you. I am slow on the trigger, and I don't lose much as I back away from the targets. The up close stuff is really tough for me and I haven't been able to do well on it yet.
Jake Di Vita
Hmm. I'll have to try this in practice. The only run I can remember is the one I quoted in a match (which ironically is the classifier that put me into GM). Are we doing any 6 hits or all A's? tightloop
Limited 10, 1.84, better transitions... Limited 1.90 Unclassified
Ben Stoeger
Jake, You might as well post both ways, with all A's and a blazer run. My interest really lies in all A's though.
Ron Ankeny
Predicatably and on demand with all A's 2.5-2.6 seconds. Going goofey stupid and throwing out the ones that don't make all A's, under 2 seconds. M class with a skinny gun.
dirtypool40
In light of recent posts I need to clarify, that's a match speed run, down 4-6. Cinching all Alphas would take roughly 2.4, pretty sure about 2.1 hell, now I am confused. When I get my eye back (fingers crossed) I'll shoot this again and see.
