Indebt
Greetings this subject I'm sure has been covered but for USPSA production class as well as IDPA SSP is it with in the rules for me to remove the finger grooves on my Glock 17? I'm not fond of them and would either dremel or file them off then cover with grip tape.
lynn jones
i do not know about idpa, but you cannot modify you grips in uspsa. you can add grip tape however. lynn
Flexmoney
No dice on removing them. No external modifications...in USPSA Production. You can cover them with grip tape. I don't know about IDPA.
rmills
The modification would not be legal in IDPA SSP division.
waktasz
You probably don't want to hear this but you could trade it for a gen 2 Glock 17 :/
Harmon
You probably don't want to hear this but you could trade it for a gen 2 Glock 17 :/ that would be the most efficient USPSA legal way to remove them i dont even notice they are there really...but the same thing can be said about me and the sights
sasquatch981
So if I understand correctly I can add "agrip" to a glock grip?
cpty1
Yes, AGrip is legal in both USPSA production and IDPA.
MstngLX50
I can't stand the finger ridges and thumb dimples on Glocks at all. If you look around you can find police trade ins for cheap. I bought a G23 that way and it had holster wear, but I honestly don't think it was fired other than for qualification. You can also get the factory refurbs for a little bit more. I just wish I could get a gen 2 grip with a rail on it without having to dremel a brand new pistol. Alan
Kevin Kline
I agree, if you dont want them, get a generation 2 frame.
