Greetings this subject I'm sure has been covered but for USPSA production class as well as IDPA SSP is it with in the rules for me to remove the finger grooves on my Glock 17? I'm not fond of them and would either dremel or file them off then cover with grip tape.

You probably don't want to hear this but you could trade it for a gen 2 Glock 17 :/

that would be the most efficient USPSA legal way to remove them ;)

i dont even notice they are there really...but the same thing can be said about me and the sights

I can't stand the finger ridges and thumb dimples on Glocks at all. If you look around you can find police trade ins for cheap. I bought a G23 that way and it had holster wear, but I honestly don't think it was fired other than for qualification. You can also get the factory refurbs for a little bit more. I just wish I could get a gen 2 grip with a rail on it without having to dremel a brand new pistol.
