Drop and Offset holsters- what is the advantage?

It all depends on what you are used to. Take someone used to using a stingray holster and they see no advantage to the DOH. If there is any advantage, it is a perceived advantage of the shooters mind. If they think their draw is quicker with a DOH, then it will be. That being said, I run a DOH in Production.

For 3G, it seem more important due to the equipment on the belt. There is less interference with other items on the belt as you bend, run, crouch, etc. I know quite a few who even run a leg holster just to get the pistol/holster lower for equipment reasons. Of course, it's nice to have the pistol closer to your hand, less distance traveled.
