Supranatural
Just curious, what is the rationale for replacing the stock base pads, is there a performance or durability improvement?

himurax13
Just curious, what is the rationale for replacing the stock base pads, is there a performance or durability improvement? It depends on which mags you are referring to. The 14 and 16 round mags have those offal steel baseplates. The rubber basepads weigh more and fit nicer. The rest are made of plastic. Some folks prefer the durability and small amount of weight the aluminum basepads have.
Cobra5
I'm about to order 6ea of the SP pads, but I'm not exactly sure which ones to order. I really would like to get my order right the first time & not have to mess about with returns & extra shipping. I have an ACCU Shadow & the three 18rd mags that came with it from CZC. I also have 5 of the CZC 17rd plated mags, see below: http://czcustom.com/cz759mm17rdmagplated5pk.aspx What I'd like to do is get 6 base pads, 5ea for the 17rd plated mags, & 1 for the CZC mag that came with the pistol. Should I order all 6 pads the same? Or do I need to order 5 of these: SP EZ CZ 9mm base pads - Mecgar 17 round magazines And one of these: SP EZ CZ 9mm base pads - Factory 18 round magazines
Quack
5 of the MG and one for the factory mag.

selecw
I had no idea the MecGar 17+2 weren't USPSA production legal. I used them in a match a couple of weeks ago. I guess I will need to switch out base plates.

Just curious Btw.....great price on the ones you sold Mj Thanks, I gave a good deal Where you grab the mag with bullets out is different, the edges/corners on the Springer bothered me. I thought about dremeling them, but just did not want to mess up awesome Basepads
fishsticks
Now go and get them all scratched. ;-) Mj Are you telling me they're not scratch proof??? Unfortunately they scratch fairly easily. My nice blue ones show plenty of wear in less than a year. if I order more they will be silver so they don't look beat up dropping them. Let's face it; shooting production you will drop them a bunch. I really like mine, but they aren't scratch proof.
himurax13
If you guys are worried about scratching your basepads, the 16 rounders with the rubber basepads are the way to go.
