StealthyBlagga
I spoke to Bar-Sto today... the M&P9 5" barrel I have had on order for 2 years is shipping out today. I will post photos and a review here when it arrives. Edited October 22, 2014 by StealthyBlagga

StealthyBlagga
Did you get the Semi-Fit or Match Target? Semi-Fit. I will comment on how tight the fit is when I first install it.
Flash74
Wow, their prices are almost double what I paid for my storm lake 9mm barrel from Midway ($129). Is barsto worth the extra cost? My storm lake is pretty accurate. My stock 40 barrel has no accuracy issues.

StealthyBlagga
Locking lug area: Loaded factory round (note slight machining mark at the top of the feed ramp - probably won't cause a problem): Chamber support: Hood overhang: Edited October 28, 2014 by StealthyBlagga
StealthyBlagga
Comparison with OEM barrel shows lots of differences: Bar-Sto is longer by about 3/32", and of uniform thickness throughout its length (OEM gets slightly skinnier behind the muzzle): Edited October 28, 2014 by StealthyBlagga
StealthyBlagga
Comparison of barrel hood length: The extra 0.013" of hood length stops this barrel from being a drop-in fit, meaning I am going to have to hand-fit the barrel to my pistol: Edited October 28, 2014 by StealthyBlagga

I RO'd at the recent World Shoot, on a stage with THREE fast swingers. You would be astounded by the number of claimed "immaculate doubles" I had to deal with on the swingers... uncanny Edited October 29, 2014 by StealthyBlagga
cautery
Wonder why on a fully custom barrel they don't delete that "loaded chamber indicator" cutout in the hood?
hondakilla98
Wonder why on a fully custom barrel they don't delete that "loaded chamber indicator" cutout in the hood? Isn't it required in some states?
StealthyBlagga
Wonder why on a fully custom barrel they don't delete that "loaded chamber indicator" cutout in the hood? I like it - I always take a peek down there to be sure I picked up a round during MR.
missed it by that much
Won a certificate for free bar sto barrel. It's in. Ordered the match fit barrel just sent my full size m&p in to have them fit the barrel. Will post accuracy results when I get it back. He stated should shoot 1 inch or less at 25 yards. Thanks for the post. Got to use that certificate.
