BOOM
I'd like some help on a over sized mag release. I'm looking for polymer,(not) a aluminum mag release; with the large screw on metal button The Glock store has two both look nice, but not sure ?. JP use to make one, or even SJC. Will these release the mag in a DOS holster ??
dskinsler83
The SJC is metal I'm pretty sure. Glockstore sells one that is plastic as does midway. The ZEV even though aluminum is by far my referred one. TTI is working on one I believe
Mahlsan
I know you asked for a polymer one, how ever I have the ZEV one on my open glock, not only do I like it but everyone I have come across at my local range does as well. Big enough that my thumb can activate it with ease.
LoganbillJ
Gen 3 or 4?
BOOM
Gen 3 , Polymer to save wear on mags, I like ZEV triggers
Braxton1
You can always drill-and-tap your own, making your mag button as big or small as you'd like. I would send you a gross of 287s for free.... <j.k., but close!>
dskinsler83
I don't think you will save much on mag wear really. I don't see a lot on any of my mags
BOOM
Thanks Braxton: $35.00 not worth it. For me its plastic to plastic on this one, thanks DSK
DreGarciaTAT2
I would definitely go the drill and tap route... Then again... I'll all about spending money on DIY stuff! Lol
LoganbillJ
This is the one I have. I really like it. Allows me to keep my grip and hit the mag release. http://www.glockstore.com/custom-parts-amp-accessories/extended-aluminum-mag-catch-for-glock
BOOM
LoganbilJ; that's one that caught my attention, wasn't sure of the over all quality. Does the button contact the inside of your holster releasing the magazine unexpectedly ??
LoganbillJ
I have been running it for about 3 years now. It has held up very well. I have not had any issues with any holster I have tried. Most holsters are recessed there for that exact reason.
usmc1094
This is the one I have. I really like it. I ordered it from the glock stores ebay store, the shipping was less for the same thing from the same people. BOOM
THANKS EVERYONE ordered the original Glock Store box style.(HOPE) its long enough just didn't like the tear shape (For you do it yourselfers) Looking at pictures It appears that all they do is use a original Glock mag release part and drill and tap add a aluminum button with 2 Allen screws, but hunting down all of that can get expesive
